what in the world does he bring for $28million. Who is worth that kind of money ...there are many capable people who can lead a company like this who would do it of for far less money ... the problem we have with all of these CEO's is that they rule the roost and once they're in they award themselves these kinds of pay packages under the premise that others are being paid these exorbitant packages etc. etc.
We as shareholders need to show our frustration and vote these parasites out of office. Lookm at wall street and what they are being paid now versus number of years ago .... everyone said they would leave if the bonuses were lowered .... well they are still there even though bonuses are much lower ..... even so where would they make this kind of money evven though its lower than b4.
I say pay on performance is the only way we should pay .. we own the companies and the CEO's get most of the benefits ...something along the lines of a reasonable base and a bonus of the same percent that the stock goes up and now more ...you make money for the shareholder /owner ...you get and increase otherwise you don't deserve anything more ...... enough is enough ..... I've held AXP forseveral years ... risked major $ and I haven't seen the kind of reward that he's getting ... what gives???
