  • Why Reeds Is Still Undervalued  [View article]
People who purchased this stock in the two buck range are now unloading as they see no future in this stock long term. It could be an ugly week ahead.

Chris REED would be smart to sell the company. Wouldn't surprise me if that is now in the works. Great product and distribution all over the country. Lots of shelf space for their products in our local Whole Foods Store here in Chapel Hill. Lots of competition from other companies selling the Kombucha product.

Earnings and revenue in the wrong direction given all that is happening in the oil market. If you can't earn good money in this market best to find something else.

  • Buckeye Partners (BPL) is upgraded to Neutral from Sell with a $55 price target (up from $49) at Citigroup, which points to the pipeline company's strong operational performance over the past two quarters (Q4). As BPL completes expansion of its Borco terminal in the Bahamas and reaching full benefits in 2014, Citi expects a return to historical annual distribution growth of 4%-5%.  [View news story]
Wonder if this has changed any:

AM Standard & Poor's cuts its rating on Buckeye Partners (BPL) to BBB-, the brink of junk territory, noting the midstream energy company's weakening financial measures aren't expected to improve meaningfully until at least 2015. BPL's debt has increased significantly due to large acquisitions, and gross margins have not kept pace with the higher debt burden

  • Stalled pipeline projects are costing the Canadian economy $30M-$70M every day, according to a new report paid for by the Saskatchewan government. “If pipeline project proposals such as Trans Mountain, Keystone XL and Northern Gateway don’t move forward, Canada will be foregoing $1.3T in economic output... and $281B in tax revenue between now and 2035," says the report’s lead economist.  [View news story]
We should be celebrating our future independence from Middle East oil and figure out how to reduce the risk to our environment. It really is an exciting time. Obama should put on his big guy pants and approve the Keystone XL and let the project begin. The Keystone XL pipeline will skirt my neighbors property in eastern Kansas. Everyone is excited. It will create jobs in a county that has a 14% jobless rate.

  • What To Do With Ford's Stock  [View article]
Yes, you are right Robert. On earnings day we watched the stock approach 12.20. As I watch the screen during the day you understand how the traders are manipulating the market and Ford shares. Imagine going to work each morning as a trader and spending most of the day trading a 13 dollar stock with 10-15K shares each trade. Oh my, what fun.

  • What To Do With Ford's Stock  [View article]
Surprised that CNBC didn't spend more time talking about the impressive results. My gosh, Ford posted a 55.0% rise in earnings per share to 31 cents in the fourth quarter of 2012 from 20 cents in the same quarter of 2011. Ford’s fourth-quarter pre-tax profit of $1.7 billion was the highest in a decade. Meanwhile, net profit surged 55.7% to $1.2 billion from $797 million a year ago. Doesn't get much better than this. We knew the international market was not good so the losses were not a surprise. Are the traders keeping this stock from moving up. Be patient is what I am telling everyone. Remember, about 6 months ago in August this stock was trading at 9 bucks. It wouldn't surprise me if they raised the dividend about Q3 of this year. But then again I look at the Netflix run up this past week or so and scratch my head.

  • A bipartisan group of more than half the U.S. Senate urges Pres. Obama to approve the Keystone XL (TRP) pipeline project. "Nebraska has now addressed the outstanding concerns you raised when you denied the permit, and we therefore urge to finish expeditiously the review process and approve the pipeline," says a letter signed by 44 Republicans and nine Democrats.  [View news story]
Surprised there has been little movement in the TRP stock. Probably waiting for the prez to make a decision which he finds hard to do. Although most people have never heard of TRP including brokers.

  • As Saskatchewan's premier and 10 U.S. governors urge Pres. Obama to approve the Keystone (TRP) pipeline, environmental groups release a study that says refining the oil sands would create 5B tons of petcoke, perhaps accelerating global warming. The report says 15%-30% of a barrel of oil sands bitumen can end up as petcoke, whereas a lighter crude would have less than 2%.  [View news story]
Go TransCanada; we need to be oil independent. The pipeline will cross our fields on our farm in eastern Kansas. I can smell it now. Love the USA. We are back!!! We have moved the Hubert Oil Curve.

  • Saskatchewan premier Brad Wall teams with 10 U.S. state governors in a letter to Pres. Obama lobbying for the Keystone (TRP) pipeline: "U.S. imports from Canada, a democratic friend and ally, could reach 4M bbl/day by 2020, twice what is currently imported from the Persian Gulf." Notably absent from the letter were Alberta's premier and Nebraska's governor.  [View news story]
The pipeline will cross our farm land in eastern Kansas. Bring it down. I can smell the oil now. Love it. For the first time we can stop the flow of oil coming from the Middle East. Besides, it's a crummy oil anyway. BTW, purchased some gas in KC the other day for 2.64 a gallon. Love it.

  • Suncor Energy (SU -0.6%) may make its C$11.6B Voyageur oil sands project the first major spending reduction among Alberta energy producers, as cutting production costs is one of the few options available while the region’s crude prices sink to the lowest in the world. The revolution in U.S. production and the gridlock in pipeline approval is "a train wreck" for Canadian producers, an analyst says.  [View news story]
The XL will go forward. The president would be nuts to deny the movement of crude from Canada down to the Gulf.
