Comparing 2D printer sales to 3D printer sales is absurd.

  • Why Buying A House Is A Terrible Investment [View article]
I "own" a typical everyday house in New England. Here is why real estate is a huge scam in my opinion. Just within 12 months: Furnace died $8,000, Property taxes $7,500, replace driveway pavement, $7,000, get house painted $6,500. Heating oil due to horrendous winter $3,500. Septic tank pumping $250. Planting stuff around the landscaping $1,500. Lawn mower died $300. Real estate mortgage finance charges $8,400. So just this past 12 months, the "home" has cost me $42,950 just to maintain the house. You might argue that the driveway and paint job are only every 5 years or so, so if I ammortize that it is still $31,650 in maintenance and costs. This is NOT COUNTING the mortgage payments to wards principal. I could be renting a palace for this money.

  • Is Gold About To Crash? [View article]
Gold has been slaughtered now for over 2 years. I have never seen such a clear cut bear market. Predicting further downward pressure is a pretty safe bet. My real question is how can one pin an actual value on the commodity when sentiment rules?

  • A Share Of Netflix Vs. A Tulip Bulb In Amsterdam 1637: Nosebleed Valuation [View article]
To me their main risk is that they are competing against the very companies that transmit their content. Comcast for one. Once they take enough business away from the content side of Comcast's parent company, they will simply cut the cord or dramatically raise the price for NFLX to transmit.

  • Is A Downside In Store For 3D Systems? Quite Probably [View article]
In my opinion, the run up started in earnest when the CEO of General Electric said that 3D printing will revolutionize the way they do manufacturing. The life of these stocks has only just begun. Nothing goes straight up, but we are at the beginning of a 10 to 20 year cycle.

  • 3D Systems Set To Make Investors Very Happy - Part 2 [View article]
What finally sold me on the 3D printing was when I saw an interview of the CEO of GE. He said that it will "revolutionize the way they do manufacturing." That was all I needed to hear. I am long for the 3 - 20 years period, so will ignore any volatility. I will buy more on significant dips.

I agree with Tokamak. Chrome OS is a novelty, and has zero chance of displacing windows in the enterprise domain. there are just way too many dependencies that you are ignoring that cannot be resolved.

  • Smith & Wesson: A Worst Case Scenario [View article]
I just don't get how people can be so blind to what is going on. Several members of congress, including Democrats have clearly stated that any gun ban has NO CHANCE of passing. So now that it is completely off the table, lets get real and talk about the future.

  • Gun Control: How To Profit From Increased Demand [View article]
I am in the business and have accounts with 6 of the biggest wholesalers. You CANNOT get ANY ar-15 type rifles. They are on "indefinite backorder". In fact all guns are flying off the shelves, not just these types. Try to buy a 15 round magazine for a Glock. You won't find any.

Sorry to be the one to tell you but you most certainly cannot get one anywhere near that price anymore. In fact, you cannot get on AT ALL. If you want one, you will pay rock bottom $1500 and the only place is online auctions.

I have 30 of them in my closet. I will sell them to you for $45 each. It is a bargain as they are selling on gunbroker for $50 each.
