  • Halcon Resources: The Eagle Ford Asset Sale Is A Drop In The Ocean Of Its Debt [View article]
Obviously, you're leaving out and apparently unaware of the whole Wilson plan of action, and missing entirely HK was in non-compete mode with BHP until mid-Nov.
Latest REAL analysts have HK valued at $10-$12, and that doesn't include his undisclosed leases and only on present, existing production.

  • Halcón Resources - Buyout Play, Value Play, Or Both? [View article]
Author skipped very major detail- the non-compete with BHP, which finally expired mid-Nov. BHP agreed to allowing HK to buy leases within the non-compete area before Nov, as long as they did not drill. So up until mid-Nov, business plan was buy, buy, buy, with production (and drilling) extremely limited. The gloves are off now, 6 weeks was not enough to really go into full scale production and drilling, thus the -$, so Q1 13 will be vastly different.

  • Energy trusts (SDT, PER, SDR) all take hits after announcing dividend and production cuts last night (I, II, III), and Raymond James does not pass "Go," downgrading the group to Sell from Buy. These new trusts are misunderstood, says one trader long the names. The wells are still getting drilled and there's going to be volatility in production volumes. They're cheap by any metric and - unlike MLPs - they're debt-free, having no need to issue debt (or shares) to replace depleting assets. [View news story]
Separately, analysts at Wunderlich downgraded shares of SandRidge Mississippian Trust II from a buy rating to a hold rating in a research note to investors on Monday, November 5th. They now have a $22.00 price target on the stock, down previously from $24.00.
Drilling is up, actual production had been down, but oil prices for previous quarter barely broke $80. Now oil prices breaking $100, sounds like RJ stock price manipulation to me, already a bargain and know next quarter will be very profitable.
(Not sure why author came up with a Nov 5 downgrade mention)

  • Is Cellcom Israel Really Undervalued? [View article]
There is NOT a 28% dividend. That percent is based on past payouts. CEL has cut dividends hard, rate is pretty much now 7% after 20% foreign taxes, still nothing to sneeze about, but the temporary halt of divies (pay Jan, then not again until May) is what the pps collapse was about:
    $0.3417 7/26/2012
    $0.1898 5/17/2012
    $0.5025 1/19/2012
    $0.63661 10/17/2011

CELCOM has had several problems, first being Israel broke up the monopolies and allowed CELCOM to have competitors, they went from one, to four. Second being, the Israeli government, in trying to bring down the cost of living further, decided no investment firm could hold more than a certain quantity of different major corporation stocks, so some had to choose whether to sell off CEL or another company out of it's portfolio. Third, CEL was sued repeatedly for hidden charges, lost in court, and still has more to settle, has cost them millions in settlements. CEL had also announced their profits will continue to be curtailed for some time into the future. Their only real option right now is to expand into other areas, not just improve their service. Their prices to consumers was already cut by the courts on a lot of fees, and lost a lot of consumers, not thru competition, but the exposure to the consumer of the illegal hidden fees.

  • Atlantic Power Corporation Offers A Secure, Monthly Dividend [View article]
munich, foreign stocks normally will not qualify for auto-reinvest with large trade firms. Since AT is a monthly dividend, it depends on how many shares you hold as to whether it is prudent to do auto-reinvest, anyway. If you own only a minimal amount, you will barely or not at all, recover your trade cost and will drive up your pps average.

and you left out what I consider is also a major plus to ARR, they pay that wonderful dividend monthly. No waiting 90 days and watching the pps get whacked like the rest of the mREITs. I just let ARR ride and collect at the end of every month.

  • 3 Reasons YUM Could Be A Yummy Buy Into The Future [View article]
Very nice article, Justin. We own only a few hundred shares in one of our IRA accounts, and I've been hesitant to buy more at the recent pps for the joint trade account, but your wrap-up with the quote: "Dennis Gartman of The Gartman Letter stated, "buying high and selling higher. Strength tends to beget strength, and weakness, weakness." " , says it all.

  • SEC Filings Warn Halcon Resources Corporation Shareholders of Significant Dilution [View article]
Can very well tell the author is a Shorter holding a Short Position on RAM, didn't even have to look at the disclosure. The author fails to mention that a reverse stock split is also to occur on Feb 10th. I'm holding my shares LONG and close to the chest, I intend to get as many shares of Halston as possible.

This author is one reason that Seeking Alpha has been sued in the past, because "authors" use this forum to manipulate the stock.

  • RAM Energy Partners: The Start Of Something Great Or A Terrific Short? [View article]
Good Luck with that Shorting. I'm with Stone Fox, you missed his point-you can't just look at earnings to value a stock. With all the small and mid-cap O&G companies out there, Wilson picked RAM, whose holdings kept them within the BP limitations of competition. Though there has been volatility during the day, RAM seems to settle almost always sideways now, EOD. I believe the price will vary very little, now. Nothing to see but wait, until after Feb 10, when the reverse split happens.

  • Brazen Yield Gyrations Of Dog Stocks In 8 Sectors [View article]
Not sure where you get your research material, but some quick looks at only 3 of your #1's scored 100% defective info: XIN, they only pay $0.20/year on common stock, for 11.3%; and BFR's dividend for last year was $0.72, for 15%. Torch Energy Royalty was voted to terminate back in 2008 and is past paying dividends.

  • 35 Top Yielding Real Estate Investment Trusts, Part 1: Residential REITs [View article]
haven't checked all your info for accuracies, but your very first example of ARR has gross error of 1 January as the ex-div date. The correct date for January ex-div is Jan 11th. It is a monthly dividend, the ex-div dates for Feb and March are on the 13th of those months for paydates of Feb 28th, and March 29th
