When evaluating the current state of the economy I am reminded of my retail days in the late 70’s. Washington did change the way inflation is calculated; this decreased the CPI which set the percentage for SSN, State, Federal and local pay increases. With that aside it looks a lot like the late seventies when every positive was created by a negative; inflation. Then the 80’s?
