Mr. Holt; well said. I believe most of us understand that UCore is not going to pull out a single kg of Dy until at least 2015.

Wow, what is the downside? What, Molycorp buys them out for a tidy profit to the current shareholders? Simply understand that from my view, this is currently our best (United States of America or what is left of it) HREE play.

Emphasis on HEAVY. Lynas has about half of what Bokan offers with HREE. Australia is very dependent on the Chinese market in a multitude of industries and I believe that one must consider the strategic value of a a strategic sovereign source.

We (taxpayers) fork over 500 million to Solyndra whose business plan to anyone reading this would say 'what a turd' or 'these
clowns couldn't manage a pay toilet'.

How about we consider forking over some dough for a real strategic interest that may save this nation in some minor way from becoming a freakin dinosaur.

This is my humble opinion and I am long UURAF.PK

Ramping up Bokan would actually be a wise use of monies provided to the government.

  • Market recap: Stocks faded after Moody's downgraded Ireland to junk, wiping out gains that had set in on news that a few Fed officials had suggested more stimulus if economic growth falters. Tech stocks sank as downbeat outlooks from two leading chip firms pointed to weak semiconductor demand. Oil and gold posted solid gains, Treasurys held steady. NYSE losers led gainers three to two.  [View news story]
Fiat currencies and their bond debt are dead meat. The weakest in the herd die first. When Spain goes, the balloon is up for the EU.

However, this dance is coming in the future to a Main Street near you. Equities with "necessary stuff" and physical Au/Ag is my course.

    Zemko out.

  • Rare Earths: Has the Thesis Changed? [View article]
Taking a hard look at an outfit called UCore, UURAF. Apparently they are sitting on top of some of the highest HREE TREO to include dysprosium on the planet. UCore is JE at this stage with major focus on this Alaskan property. Pluses includes close to port facility, roads in place, basic power - water infrastructure. Build the extraction-refinement facility at the port.

  • Rare Earths: Has the Thesis Changed? [View article]
Frankly, we need a 'Manhattan Project style' push with focus on development of current in country HREE projects and extraction-refinement facilities for LREE and HREE metals. This is critical if we plan to be over the next 75 years, any sort of a international market player or secure as a nation. Just my opinion.

  • Did the Silver Bubble Just Go 'Pop'? [View article]
Two ways to look at it; manipulation or overdue correction. I believe the latter is the case though the manipulative forces are working overtime as they attempt to cover the puts.

One way to beat the shorts is buy more physical silver. I am with Mr. Merrill and pdtor, it is the early innings and we should be swinging for the fences.

  • US default could be doomsday option for economy [View article]
I am afraid that we are over the edge and into the abyss. The debt the nation has incurred is untenable. The Dollar is a walking dead man. The counterfeiting a.k.a. Quantitative Easing is simply life support and another chapter in the history of fiat currency ending badly.

We, the sheeple, have allowed the benevolent oligarchy to spend us into oblivion. This includes both parties and their bankers. We can get angry. Hell, I have been angry for close to 20 years. Remember, we did allow this and I am certain our children and grandchildren will look to us for allowing it. My hope is that they will learn and not repeat our mistake.

All I can suggest is to prepare for this journey through deep economic trouble with the high possibility of hyperinflation. It is going to suck.

Choose your equities wisely selecting those that will live to see and prosper when this ends; yes, it will end as we must, as a civilization, have a meaningful arrangement of exchange. Cash, including foreign, precious metals (physical), energy, and agriculture stocks/ETFs make sense to me.

Prepare now as a cold wind is coming...

Godspeed to all in the SA community.

  • Rare Earths Investment Strategy 101: Identifying Patterns [View instapost]
Excellent article! Drawing out cost/risk allocation against the backdrop of what factors and metrics one should consider when judging the companies in the REE market. One area you clarified well and one I find many people excited about REEs, but lacking in knowledge is that there are 'lights' and 'heavies'.

I am long on UCore. You illustrated my decision making I went through in 2009. With juniors It is 'about the people' and I believe UCore is well led. Also, I like the 'heavy' tilt of their Bokan property, especially the potential Dysprosium deposits.

Looking forward to your future takes on this market.

  • Uranerz Energy: Production to Come Online Next Year [View article]
Good article and I concur with your assessment. I would only add that Uranez is headed by a very solid operational and engineering management team. This coupled with the strong financials, good business model, and a robust market on the horizon makes Uranez in my opinion, a winner.

I have held a position with URZ since August 2010.
