  • Woodside Petroleum close to $2.7B Leviathan deal, report says [View news story]
That is one of the most sane comments posted today. This energy program needs to be most immediately developed. Given the on-hand US technology in-situ and the European NG demand. It makes sense to initiate pipeline construction into southern Europe, sales to eastern European users and thereby tilt the Ruskies into a better level of comprehension.

  • Buy Waste Management For Income Not Growth [View article]
What the heck is a costumer? I know what a consumer is and I think that is to whom you are referring. The word costumer is used four times.
A good article, but failing to proof read does take away from the veracity of the article.

  • Starbucks slides after ITG chimes in [View news story]
ITG must want to get SBUX for a little less. Always have doubts about the idiosyncrasies of unknown research plebeians whom I've never heard about. Especially since they seem to have no history of qualified guidance.

  • Wells Fargo slips after mixed earnings report [View news story]
Meanwhile WFC's own analysts not understanding WFC's problems proceed to analyse other stocks today and downgrade them. What an incestuous bunch of character lacking plebeians for failing to tell the real story of WFC's failing grades...honesty would be good!

  • Google moves €8.8B to Bermuda to keep taxes low [View news story]
Can't blame them for trying to keep their profits intact. After all giving those royalty payments and taxes to governments is not a recipe for continued advancement in technology or jobs. Give these to government all you get is more slothful non-productive bureaucrats in that food chain.

  • Why We're Not Compelled To Own Wal-Mart [View article]
My grocery experience here in S. Arizona with both WMT and SWY is they both have become more expensive. Could it be that both are in competition and are spying on each others upward trending item price points. The resultant grocery and produce price increases are driving consumers to Fry's (KR) and the bankrupt Basha;s where both are more modest. By either basket or cart count these are pocketbook issues...and WMT is not the value experience it once was and the thinner check-out lines speak volumes...

  • Statoil (STO) says new seismic tools will result in 30M extra barrels of oil from its Snorre and Grane fields. ~700 km of seismic cables, delivered by Geospace Technologies (GEOS), will be placed in trenches on the seabed on these two fields, each with large remaining reserves. STO estimates it could recover additional NOK19B worth of oil on the two fields. [View news story]
Interesting how "Doodlebugging" has advanced from the early marine ops of 1963 in the north sea and off Spitzbergen.

  • Peabody Energy (BTU -3.2%) takes a hit after being downgraded to Neutral at Goldman on relative valuation, citing lower U.S. thermal volumes and cost pressures at its Illinois Basin/Western Bit thermal business.  [View news story]
I would not trust anything that Goldman says about BTU or any other company, leastways and certainly no further than I could throw a bull by the tail. Simply put Goldman is a self serving pariah.

My sentiments exactly! Those who knew and lived by the UGF (universal greed factor) and lacking thrift now expect through the able compliance and thievery of Gubmint to help themselves to my sweat equity...
