  • Netflix CEO Reed Hastings Responds to Whitney Tilson: Cover Your Short Position. Now. [View article]
overseas...ok...Europe is on restricted spending plus Europe is not too happy with US companies. Asia got nothing but pirate copies of all DVD titles and now lots of pirate streaming movies off the net. Have you been to Asia before? I have. I won't count on that for great growth. LOL older movies....If you go to China then you can use Five Yuan (less than one US$) to buy one older DVD title. I have seen them all over there while I toured there. You do the math. They are everywhere in Asia but cost are slightly higher but still cheap.

NFLX will not able to double its customer base within the target time. NFLX is a good company but not good enough to take on everyone. You just watch...the stock price is just too rich. Market will tell you what is sustainable. This is really a Short story at this point. $200 too high....$180 still too high..keep going....the answer is lower much lower.

  • The First Stage of Inflation Has Already Hit, Next Up Is the Currency Collapse [View article]
you're only looking at surface. Straight up for the stock mkt also straight up for commodities as well. We will pay for all the transfer expenses soon once POMO is done pumping. Inflation will arrive and catch a lot of the people off guard. FED can raise interest rates quickly. Yes, they will have to raise many times once inflation catches up with them.
Bear in mind, lots of people are not in the stock market but they are in the supermarket. They are paying more there.
Sky is not falling...Our money is ! It is not Obama...it is Ben who created all these monies and just like Greenspan who created the housing nightmares.

ok..my parents only know are to use the cable box. To be technical, yes, it part of the internet band width. There is no direct VOD with a remote on notebooks or desktop PCs. They all have to use a converter box for this sort of services.
I understand your technical standpoint and you should understand what I mean of VOD.

QE is creating inflation. Look at Grain and metal prices. Asia are combating them. Are you not watching prices at the super market? Meats prices are up and not down. Call up the farmers? They are enjoying the up pricing not cattle owners though.

  • Is Shorting an Overvalued Stock a Good Investment Strategy? [View article]
I see trouble with this high flying P/E SMSI stock. Valuation too high. Let it come down then buy. Good looking $12 stock at this point.

try 50s! not enough subscribers even if every one comes on board with NFLX. They are close to 17 millions. They have approximately over 1 million are free trial subscribers so many of them will drop out. The streaming model will all depending on what kind of bandwidth you have leased at your home. Will you pay $70-140 (prices are going up rather than down) and over to stream uninterrupted movies? If you only pay $40-$50 per month with your internet providers then you expect medium-slow internet speed (rather narrow band).
Over the air like G4 will be expensive and will clog up the traffic. AT&T won the slow speed over the air speed already. How will Verizon deal with it next summer? One way, up the data package cost. Will consumers buy it for streaming movies over to your phones? You will also paying for air time (very expensive to watch a movie) and not to mention seeing your optometrist. I myself won't pay for that. You really need to angle it like a consumer.
A road block is ahead for NFLX.

knowing AAPL, Steve Jobs is thinking how to digest the movie streaming money. NFLX is using APPL to play their movies. Have you noticed AAPL web site is missing a real tap call iTV? They may well be the future owner of NFLX but not now. Why compete if you can own it? Content cost will be the sticky issue. Like itunes, Steve negotiated on his terms. Wait for NFLX to pull back like 50s. AAPL may end up buying them out. Owning AAPL makes more sense!

  • RadioShack: A Value Play With Strong Growth Prospects [View article]
RSH - horrible as to shop there (overinflated pricing). Only game there is cell phones hook ups. Technically this comp is a Strong buy based on cell phones and extreme markups.
BBY - unfortunate with the wrong move of over purchase on 3D TV. I am so not ready to wear a pair of glasses and want things to jump out from my TV in my living room. No thank you. Who wants to clean up the mess while I am eating my soup! BBY can I call Geek to come out to clean up the mess.... don't think so.
Overall BBY is a Buy.. they need to dump the 3D TV for now.

BIDU getting ready for a rebound. It is consolidating. Could bounce back up Jan 2011. P/E is ridiculous though. Very limited upside and more downside surprises. No LT hold.
