I seek out companies that have the ability to generate above-average growth for many years, before ultimately becoming a shareholder-friendly, dividend paying titan, cementing its spot in my portfolio with an incredibly low cost basis due to the previous years of steady, strong growth. These are Future Blue Chips!
I really enjoy helping people with trying to understand the market. Seeking Alpha is for connecting with other investors and it has a lot of people that are willing to lend a helping hand. If you have ANY questions with options or the general market, feel free to ask! :)

Real estate investor but with a financial academic background. Too many opportunities in this market to not spend more time studying and trading in it, a lot of time on my hands and a desire to learn as much as possible, commodities speculator, mostly a technical trader but still a beginner.
Got into investing after I bought my first MacBook for college in 2004. I then proceeded to purchase my first stock (Apple)....From there it has slowly become an addiction with all the research involved, gains/losses and the love/hate relationships everyone endures with companies.
early (ish) days on active investment. been in property for a while.
Been a great year, FB,NOK the stand out winners. Long FB ( $27, sold too early at 46.08) ,AAPL ( $477) ,NOK ($3.77, sold too early at 6.32, bought back at 7.65!), LCC ($16.06, sold at 20something, bought again at 23.25 before the merger),
Watching LINE( I missed that one!) , ALU ( bought at 3.77), MSFT( missed that ship), HSBC ( bought at 677p, patience required...), and of course ORCL, out of ex employee interest.
took a tiny position in FNMA at 2.35 not clever I know, but sold at 2.95, too nervous to hold.
oh...added some AMD at £3.63, sold at 3.75 to buy some bbry...again!

Always seeking to learn something new about the markets. Mostly focused on long-term investing but interested in short-term trading as well. I enjoy sharing ideas and knowledge here on SA.
I am a 40 something year old software engineer passionately working from home for the company I founded over a decade ago on a shoe string. Now I balance raising three terrific kids with coding and investing and brewing my own craft beer and meade. I shoot mostly from the hip on the market, a mix of a little bit of brains with a lot of dumb luck.
