  • Lifting The Veil On Deutsche Bank's Flawed BlackBerry Study  [View article]
Okay, I did. One can see iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4 on the header and then, just below, one can read:

Even more, HTC One and Q10 have the highest price tag.

Your point is??? Because it was very easy indeed, didn't take me that much time to "find Rimm phones".

On the contrary, according to your logic, this indicates that BBRY (and not RIMM...) is topping sales.

  • Early signs from the U.K. Q10 launch are "very very good" and BlackBerry (BBRY +3.1%) foresees "several tens of millions" in Q10 sales altogether, says Thorsten Heins in a Bloomberg TV appearance (video). Given BlackBerry's own sales figures as well as 3rd-party forecasts, he might be getting ahead of himself. Meanwhile, RBC has raised its May quarter BB10 shipment forecast to 2.75M from 2M, citing signs of "pent-up demand" for the Q10. (Jefferies report[View news story]
    From the Guardian:

"Corporate buyers and exporters queue to buy dozens of handsets at a time to get keyboard-based BB10 model despite lack of advertising around UK launch.

In a statement, Selfridges said that the Q10 had been its fastest-selling consumer electronics product ever, through its London, Birmingham and Manchester stores. "Selfridges' initial stock of the BlackBerry Q10 sold out in stores within two hours," the store said in a statement. "Stock of the BlackBerry Q10 is being continually delivered on the hour, every hour to keep up with demand."

  • BlackBerry (BBRY +1.4%) spiked in afternoon trading after U.K.-based SA contributor Michael Collins reported of strong Q10 demand at a Carphone Warehouse store on launch day. According to Collins, the store sold out of its stock of 2K units within 90 minutes, with demand apparently well above that seen for the Z10. Some of the demand came from exporters, many of whom were "buying 20+ units each." (Q10 reviews[View news story]
That bloke Michael Collins does some serious research, backed by hard facts. That's the kind of analysis I trust. Cheers mate!

  • BlackBerry Sells Out In 90 Minutes At Selfridges  [View article]
    Once again, CHEERS Michael!

Really enjoying your detailed, backed by hard facts analysis. Informative, therefore valuable.

Albeit you could have not even get out of bed today and have written something along the line of "we believe there were 10M Q10s sold today, we estimate 40M more will be sold in Q2 and we have info that BBRY is ready to rump up production". Seems like this kind of writing also works for some.

Have you missed it? Here you go: http://onforb.es/Yd69pd

"...Keeping this in view, we maintain our $12 price estimate for BlackBerry’s stock, about 20% below the current market price. An upside/downside to our price estimate completely hinges on the sustainability of the initial success and the kind of market share gains that BB10 sees in the coming months."

    2. Nobody knows who the "partner" who ordered the 1M units is yet. You seem to even know the terms of the order.

Therefore, I do mark your words. Thanks for the heads up.
