  • Capitalizing On Cannabis: An Interview With Sterling Scott, CEO Of GrowLife [View article]
Is MJNA Trading On Their Name?

Medical Marijuana is the first publicly held company vested in the medical marijuana and industrial hemp markets. Is MJNA also the first publicly held company vested in duping their shareholders?

As measured by Seeking Alpha followers, MJNA remains the most popular stock in the cannabis sector. Does MJNA merit this measurement or is their sole asset "all in the name?" What is the sum total of this company that claims in their mission statement "to be the premier cannabis and hemp industry innovators;" a company that "strives to create awareness within our industry" but is not willing to grant an interiew to Alan Brochstein, founder of 420Investor?

To be fair, MJNA has stood behind their dedication to "keep it simple," and has demonstrated their "ability to do just that..."
"They are counting on their investors to 'keep it simple', one SA follower concludes, "that is; jump on board without any rational analysis or reason."

Indeed, for many of us MJNA continues to be an emotional trade.
If we see when the smoke clears, that we have been duped, "the fault, dear MJNA shareholders, is not in our stars, but in ourselves..."

    Thanks AB --
In their mission statement they say, "We strive to create awareness within our industry, develop environmentally friendly, economically sustainable businesses, while increasing shareholder value."

It seems to me that if MNJA strives to "create awareness within our industry," why would they not be contacting YOU to set up an interview? One more reason I'm not sure I believe a thing MJNA has to say.

Hey belguim -- yes, your comment certainly does beg the question; and that is my concern about MJNA.

Alan -- Can you try to get an interview with any of the MJNA Board of Directors or Executive Management? On their website they say, "The professionals at MJNA are dedicated to “keeping it simple”. In an industry that has ever changing economic, political and scientific climate, it's MJNA’s team’s ability to do just that that sets it apart"

"Keeping it simple" is what sets them apart? What does that even mean?

Thanks Alan - I know you have a bunch on your plate. But if MJNA is everything they claim, it would seem they would be more than happy to talk with you.

Hey Yaba - That is excellent advice no matter what stock you are trading:
"Remember, you are trading to make a profit, not trying to time the stock."
I'm going to print that out in LARGE type and put it on my fridge!
I would of saved a bunch of money following that advice !! Thanks for the valuable words!

And y'all it WON'T be legal any time soon. This I can predict Sparkt with 100% certainty. Just for fun, let's make a bet on which state down in Dixie legalizes MMJ first...not counting the states west of the Mississippi river. What do ya think?

Why would a MJ product be named "Dixie Elixirs?" There ain't gonna be no MJ or MMJ in Dixie anytime soon.

Call it cannabis non gratis in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, West Virginia, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi.

Nothing but a whole lot of southern discomfort down in Dixie.

I wish Alan that you could interview all of the CEO's of all the so called MJ and MMJ companies! It may help to shake out what is real and what is not real.

Alan, you wrote, "according to Bruce Perlowin..." So, did you speak to Mr. Perlowin? Can you interview him...What does he say about HEMP?
Thanks -- Know you are busy, this endorsement got my attention as I wrote above.

misread the sentence -- so Mr.Perlowin is saying PHOT stands out from the rest of the pack. I find it interesting that a competitor is endorsing PHOT. Maybe the two of them have something going on, which would be great for HEMP, as you pointed out.

Alan -- I see that Mr. Scott is also CEO of HEMP. Did he address that company at all?
    Thanks.

Wow. I would advise you to check out other brokers. I'm at Schwab. their commission is $8.95 which is same commission they charge on any stock; blue chip or penny. Also if your same day trade is filled in partials, they pro-rate the commission so the total trade still comes to $8.95. I'm very happy with Schwab.
