Wow, this is an unbelievably biased article. Misleading Facts--and you have the profile of LVS and the industry as a whole completely wrong.

At this point, WLT, ANR, ACI, and BTU all seem to be finishing out the formation, so a bit more time is necessary to validate the move.  [View news story]

  • Las Vegas Sands Report Thursday Night Brings Market Vectors Gaming ETF Into Focus Friday  [View article]
Time and time again street analysts throw out unrealistic earnings previews for companies that are high-flying, and/or have experienced huge growth over a year or earnings period in order to cover their shorts. If any of you listened to the conference call it would be clear as day that LVS will be reporting huge results in the first quarter of 2011. I challenge any of you that are short this stock or merely turned off by it to listen to that conference call, look at the Q4 earnings or the future prospects of the Asian gaming industry (not to mention the turn around in Vegas) and post a single significant problem this company may have in the future (no the Chinese gov't does no present a single problem). My investor mind was put at ease when listening to that conference call. EVERY SINGLE question/concern that I had about the future prospects/earnings of this company were put to rest--With that being said, I'm in nooo hurry to make/take any profits on this, so I will continue to buy buy buy as the dumb investors out their continue to drive this price down. Clearly I'm long on this one, and will continue to get even longer.

  • Las Vegas Sands (LVS): Q4 EPS of $0.42 beats by $0.03. Revenue of $2B (+57% Y/Y) misses by $0.05B. Shares -5.6% AH. (PR)   [View news story]
listening to conference call now, seems like this is poised for future growth. i didn't realize how much growth was in the Singapore market. in my opinion, the Q4 results were outstanding, but its difficult to get the stock to pop big when the street predicts such spectacular earnings. happy about the results and may be getting on a discount very shortly.

I hope that you guys that were short sold your positions and went long over the past week. A little bit of negative news can only take a stock down so far before the positives of a company LVS will start to bring it back. Congrats to you guys that bought while it was down in the low 40's, enjoy the ride. I may be wrong about my previous statement where I predicted LVS to be over 50 by the end of the year. It seems like it may be over 50 by the end of the day tomorrow!

LVS is a sure winner. Poor earnings due to the cash flow given to the projects in China (The earnings lost due to the highly expensive projects in China will certainly be paid back many times over as LVS is poised to have the greatest market share in the fastest growing casino location in the world). I am longer than long on this one. Nice rise for it on the announcement today, but get in while you still can because this is going much higher.

Nice move today for LVS after the Morgan Stanley announcement. Could see it hitting 50 by year end. Cramer also said its extremely underpriced and a great buying opp. Staying long on this one!

I can't understand for the life of me the argument against LVS. Clearly, the stock is dropping in regard to the news about the Chinese government blocking sites 7 and 8 in Macau. However, LVS without question has largest market share in Asia of any gaming company. Not to mention, China is the largest growing "gambling" country in the world. Sure, LVS doesn't have the profits that investors would like to see, but one must consider the massive amount of cash flows used to position themselves in Macau. How can anyone present a negative argument for this company? They have positioned themselves to have the greatest market share in the LARGEST growing gaming area in the world. Say what you will about LVS, but there is going to be a natural decline with the end of the year looming and a little negative news from the Chinese government. The sky is the limit for LVS.
