1st-who can believe the figures.2nd-why would business be in a hurry to hire as they see 1 employee do the job of 2 or 3 & be happy to have a job.3rd-since the bottom line is king who wants to add expenses before business really picks up.4th- as long as freight rail doesnt improve hiring is not going up.
From Dividend Cuts to 'Irrational Exuberance': What's On for 2010? [View article]
my yield last year was 7.2%. havent figured out this year but the overall increase in my value may lower the figure. i dont care about the stock price just send me "the money, honey", i dont play theoption, put, call games so i depend on the div income.i will be happy to take over 7% again this year.
over the years i owned good cos paying good divs & used their drip programs.if the stocks went down & the div stayed the same or was increased i was ok as i got more stock.if the stock went up & high enough.it split.all in all the price did not mean much to me.entry is important & i got some great buys this past march.a cut div is a good clue to get out. as soon as gm cut its div i was out.i collected the good gm div for many years.unless your a trader you can do well in the ponzi/casino wallst arena.its boring but it pays.
of course only the problem people complain.how else could it be.when big money is spent an item should function.screen or car or appliance.its not the percentage that counts.its the inconvenience & distant no relationship transactions that cause the loud howl.i bought a tv from dell that failed after 16 mos.the warranty was good for 12 mos.they could not care less & i will never buy dell again.im sure there are satified dell people.now i buy only local from people who can help immediately even if i pay a little more.some chinese worker has a bad day & now its your problem.so in the end its just luck.
its about time the dumb sheeples of this country begin to support ford.japan just passed a c4c but excluded u.s. cars.in germany the germans drive mainly their own make cars.all over the countries support their products.only the asses here cant find a domestic car.i can hardly find an item thats not chinese junk. i research & am willing to pay more for a domestic product.its depressing to see how this once great country is commiting suicide.the pres & congress dont care.i have no connection to ford or the auto business.i own 200 shares for many years back to the dividend days.their value means little to me.sad to see the downward slide of this once great nation.
