    thats one of the only ways for the little outside investor to gather some crumbs from the wall st ponzi / casino scheme. buy into a good div paying co,join their drip plan,buy additional shares directly thru the plan,& you must have time to let $ averaging do its work.its boring but it worked great for me.in my retirement, my yield last year was 7.2%.now im talking about 20-25 years of following this plan.when gm,after many years of good divs,cut theirs in 1/2 , i sold immediately.so you have to pay some attention & tweak along the way.

    if you have time on your side drips are the way to go.it worked great for me over app.40 yr period. small fees & cost averaging was lucky for me.i avoided the tech bubble cause no yields.good cos that pay a fair div. is the way to go.wall st now has a new mantra-trade,trade,tra... aware that they cant make money anymore on phony rated AAA worthless paper so they want you to believe long term investing is dead.dont believe them. think for yourself & caution your friends to think.

    the insiders dont even trust each other at this point.you cant believe anybody about anything.homework & due diligence,charts,graph... are meaningless if the #s cant be believed.ceo lying is the name of the game.the bod's are self serving & i guess the word stockholder rarely comes up in the boardroom.so throw the dice,spin the wheel,etc. you may get lucky.
