  • Aviv REIT owners approve sale to Omega Healthcare [View news story]
"The 2Q dividend will be paid, necessarily, in two pieces...$0.36, which we paid April 7, and $0.18 to be paid on our normal schedule, for a total of $0.54. The $0.36 was paid only to those who were shareholders of Omega PRIOR to the Aviv merger (and held through the dividend record date) and the $0.18 dividend will be paid to the combined shareholders AFTER the Aviv merger and will be paid on the normal schedule of May 15. Of course, our Board hasn't formally or officially declared the $0.18 dividend, but our press release on 3/5/15 implied as much""

  • Thought About Buying Twitter, Then Sobered Up [View article]
A certain amount of one's portfolio can certainly invest in the 'momentum' stocks. Like anything else, there's a good entry point and then there's 'chasing'.. Huge difference. Buying Netflix @ 53 when it crashed or AMZN under $100 years ago, or even TWTR under $40 were most def NOT financial mistakes. Those alongside dividends, MLP's a few BDC's etc, make for a very diversified portfolio.

  • Windstream receives final approval for REIT spinoff and declares dividend [View news story]
    120 shares of WIN= 24 CS&L X 2.40 = 57.60
    = 20 WIN X .60 = 12 = 69.60
    same as 120 x 0.58
still 50.40 less than orig. div of $120

  • Why Potash Is On My Dividend Watch List [View article]
I have held POT since it split in 2011...it rarely holds past $37... commodities are a volatile sector.. I would rather get my div/growth elsewhere. Have done far better in other sectors ; as boring as LO, WM,LMT or VZ- If i want risk and div MREITS or BDC's etc... provide that with a higher yield.
    Thanks

You wrote this article on feb 20- and responded to just about every comment here-
CIM has provided me with over 20k in dividends since 2011.
I am not concerned with a 3% holding on a daily basis.
Long term investors are just that~~ long term.
    - have a nice evening.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — Costco has reached an agreement with Citi for a new co-branded credit card program, shortly after dropping its similar deal with American Express.
Costco says it will start accepting Visa rather than American Express at its U.S. stores on April 1. Until now, the wholesale club retailer has accepted only debit cards and Amex.
