Could I Really Be Wrong About REITs?

Good article. Also long SRS. The question is: How independent of the [irrationality of the] indices can IYR be? It seems to be that the recent positive market sentiment (new highs almost every other day in October) is taking with it almost everything that does not have some specific negative news, disregarding what the fundamentals are behind them. No doubt over the long run the fundamentals will show themselves, but I wouldn't mind another short term move like in the middle of July (80 to 70 for IVR) :-)
