  • Freeport Indonesia reaches tentative deal with union on wages [View news story]
Whomever posted this didn't do their due diligence.

The stock was halted after hours and no trades were executed when they resumed trading.

Unless the originator is insinuating some had inside knowledge prior to the halt, this article is inaccurate..

  • Box office report: Disney (DIS) movie Monsters University dominated the weekend box office as the Pixar movie took in $46.1M during the film's second weekend for U.S. audiences. Fox (FOXA) film The Heat took second place to surprise, while Sony's (SNE) summer of discontent continued with White House Down debuting with a disappointing with a $25.7M weekend. Time Warner's (TWX) Man of Steel lost more momentum with the field crowded, and could fall short of analyst estimates for summer box office sales. [View news story]
Why is it so surprising that the children are on summer vacation and a children's film grossed the most at the box office?
Why not compare the more adult films with their peers?

Just a suggestion,as then we would see what film/s the adults(young adults included) came out in droves to see.

  • Zogenix Poised For 40% Haircut As Zohydro Decision Approaches [View article]
I recently posted on InvestorsHub that although the competition may be manufacturing "tamper-resistent" pain meds,I believe they only entertain chewing and/or crushing.
What happens if an addict decides to boil it in an aqueous solution and administer it intravenously?
My concern is that these "tamper-resistent" meds may make intravenous use a more widespread medium.
I would hate to know that a solution could then be injected or added to some drink for increased potency.

It's not that I oppose what the drug companies are proposing but when making an educated decision that effects many an individual,I believe ALL the potential pros and cons should be weighed.

    May God Bless Us All.

  • While Sprint (S -1.3%) slumps on a report SoftBank (SFTBF.PK) is talking with Deutsche Telekom (DTEGY.PK) about buying its 74% stake in T-Mobile USA (TMUS +4.1%) should the Sprint deal falter, Dish (DISH +1.5%) has spiked higher, as investors take the report as a sign SoftBank would rather abandon its Sprint efforts than significantly raise its bid. Sources tell Reuters SoftBank and DT have been talking since last year, but that talks "intensified" following Dish's $25.5B offer for Sprint. Clearwire (CLWR +3.3%) has also moved higher, and is now $0.02 above Dish's $4.40/share offer price. (previous[View news story]
Not in for semantics......Dish knew of the TMobile talks and is obviously trying to sway SoftBank that way....no one can see this? Where's Greenspan when you need him?

  • Zogenix Poised For 40% Haircut As Zohydro Decision Approaches [View article]
Well, either keep on prescribing potentially harmful to the organs(as is status quo),vicodin, approve Zohydro for end stage patients or somewhat strict criteria or just deny it outright.

With all due respect, enough with the politics and release the outcome that has been sitting in the offices for a while now.

  • "We would like to get into the commercial insurance business very big time," says Warren Buffett, asked about Berkshire's (BRK.B) hiring of 4 P&C execs from AIG. Buffett says the 4 initiated the move themselves, maybe prompted by AIG's scaling back of coverage in capital-intensive areas. [View news story]
    Nice timing........

During pre-market trading;trying to influence the upcoming days trade.

  • Answer: "About $2B in market cap." Question: "How much are four executives really worth?" AIG has fallen 3% and can't get up after Berkshire poached 4 of its top insurance men. The question comes from Bernstein (presumably Josh Stirling). The dour answer from Forbes' Steve Schaefer. [View news story]
    Hello...........

AIG is an insurance company titan.....they specialize in damage control and what is insurance there for=those "just in case" moments.

By the time Q1 results are revealed, this will all be water under the bridge;not above it.
