Why is Obama getting away with this? Why are people letting him lie without any consequences. Is this the way we want our politicians to play the game in the future? How are we to trust anyone?]]>

Dividend Investors Watch Out http://seekingalpha.com/article/123600-dividend-investors-watch-out?source=feed#comment-411457 411457
Keep in mind that the yields probably were not Crazy when they bought the stock. And just because they are now high doesn't mean that it gives the company the right to drop them 80 or 90% to get them back to reasonably Low rates. Is it written somewhere that when prices drop and yields rise, that the company is supposed to cut their dividend so that it always is maintained at low rates?

Maybe they should change the rules for bonds and other debt securities to be the same way. It yields rise over a specified amount, then the company should reduce the amount that it owes the bond holder. How does that sound?]]>

If that is the case, why not just go back to 12/31 of every year and pick out the highest yielding stocks from a variety of industries and then looking at the results every year going forward.

I have read many of your articles and it seems that you are not doing that well. Is it time to change your investment philosophies?]]>

UAW chief Gettelfinger warns that one or two automakers could collapse without immediate assistance, and asks Congress not to adjourn before reaching an agreement. (WSJ) http://seekingalpha.com/news/market_currents/post/11827?source=feed#comment-311067 311067
Gettelfinger thinks more about himself and his members than he does about the country and long term affect from his actions. This type of action has hurt the U.S. and our ability to compete with others in the auto market. Yes, he is the enemy!

I am beginning to think that the big 3 have been beaten down so much over the years that they now side with the enemy. Kind of like hostages and kidnap victoms. After awhile, they side with the enemy.]]>

Boeing Heading the Way of GM? http://seekingalpha.com/article/102892-boeing-heading-the-way-of-gm?source=feed#comment-294729 294729
Yes, many CEOs are getting too much money, but that is peanuts compared to what worker costs are amounting to. When a worker retires, the costs of that person continues for another 30 - 40 years or longer. Companies just cannot afford those costs.

Boeing will ultimately die unless the workers and unions get a clue as to what they are doing. Asking and demanding job security just won't work. ]]>

They have had years to get ready, but for some reason, they have been focused on SUV, etc, rather than preparing for what people are going to need in the future.

I look at Toyota, Honda, Nissan and they are really getting their act together and we can't even copy what they are doing. I am Mad! ]]>
