      How High Can Crude Oil Fly?
      agree!!! EXCELLENT post! i see GS is again saying $90 crude by End of Year, you have T. Boone Pickens, Richard Rainwater and John Arnold of Centaurus all hugely successful investors long crude (with occasiional short forays) you have T. Boone saying (in WSJ) its unlikely we'll see Oil below $50 with the exception of occasional short spikes and Rainwater quoted in Fortune (to paraphrase) "whatever you do get long domestic crude" the Oil Drum which is run by respected scientists has real document eveidence of saudi oil field depletion---energy is where its at and where its going to be at---just wait until the retail investing public figures it out and wants in on it! -- Patrick Kerr OilGasFutures.com

      looks like we're coming into the volatile summer season, for those interested there is a great just released study on saudi arabia and gas prices by stuart staniford here: www.theoildrum.com/nod... it goes into great detail on what is really going on over there, it looks like the saudi oil fields are depleting --from the satellite photos it gives the impression that they may be getting desperate over there, anyway----excellent work worth a look! ----Patrick Kerr Oil Gas Futures

      excellent round up----yes we spend most of our time doing oil and gas futures but ocasionally do some stocks--love the list also-i personally like UTSI (disclosure: yes, i own some) i like it in the $7 to $8 dollar range---here's the yahoo description and i think the famed tiger global fund has picked some up: for those who are interested:

      High Gas Prices: Look No Further Than The Person In The Mirror
      So True! the sad fact is the world is consuming over 30 billion barrels of crude per year and we're coming nowhere near replacing it, and of course the U.S. is the largest consumer by far, as china and india continue to grow explosively the alternatives are going to become more and more critical, unfortunately its going to be a long time for any of the alternatives to make a large enough impact to really affect the overall picture, but its full speed ahead---with or without the french!

      yes, agree with that---and along with t. boone pickens ideas on oil and gas in general---it looks like we could be headed for dramatically higher oil and gas quickly--there is also scientific evidence(see oildrum.com) of oil field depletion at high level throughout mideast---of course i'm biased but we like the oil and gas futures----pk
