  • SAP uninterested in BlackBerry, BBM sees mixed and fake reviews [View news story]
What a shame? Whoever had changed the font for operating BBM means that whoever could not face the reality - being defeated.

That would be great if they could do the same thing in Canada.

  • Lenovo reportedly signs NDA with BlackBerry [View news story]
I saw a video about mobile computing on Z30 last night. It is interesting. I always have a question in my mind. If BBM goes live on other platforms and the share price goes up from there, will BB be able to decline and say no to all bidders?

  • BlackBerry Strikes Back [View article]
BlackBerry has been too quiet for a long time. I am happy for them as they actually did something for themselves.

I think not all the members of BOD have the heart in hi-tech evolution. They all think of money. Too bad!

I still don't understand why BB is looking for a buyer. They have the potential to keep going. Time is the only issue. I also own BB shares. If they decide to stand on their own feet, I will absolutely support.

They should speak and communicate with every one like sending out their first letter which is a good move. Today is their first day launching Z30; I guess only BB fans know about it. I would like to see an ad on the paper saying that "we are here, Z30 is a powerful device for you". Just make some noise and slogan for their innovation.

I watched a you-tube video last night. A Z10 ad in written form showing on the video from the beginning to the ending. I was impressed as no one would miss the ad when watching the video. BB - keep doing that!

  • The Fairfax Deal Must Fail: Valuating Blackberry [View instapost]
I really appreciate it! Same here, I see the values of BB and hope all the best to the company. I 100% hope it will stand on its own feet.

  • Is BlackBerry Making A Comeback In The United States? Some Data Suggest It Is [View article]
Don't understand why people can change his/her tone any time. "A dying company" - yeah, it could be used to describe BlackBerry last fall. I hear bad news about BlackBerry every day. Not every one pays respect to their energy put in building the new platform and appreciate their innovations. I have seen "up for sale" these three words on the Net since Monday. "A sale of the company" is one of the options mentioned in the their announcement. Not for sale NOW.

It's sad. Most of the Canadians do not support Canadian company with decent innovations.

  • BlackBerry: Hold Your Nose And Buy? [View article]
Author. It appears that you are one of those guys like to stir up something now and then. You can change your point of view 180 degrees. You mentioned that "Balance Sheet Clean As A Whistle". Why didn't you mention about it in your last (nasty) article? Actually, people should know that BlackBerry was able to maintain a "no debt" financial status from its ER in June.

You are not holding BB at the moment, but you are preparing to jump into it. That's why you are posting good comments. Then, you will post some bad comments after making profits. Am I correct?

  • Heins' Mobile End Computing Vision Comes To An End; So Must He [View article]
It is so easy to criticize people if you see them not doing things in your way.

Transparency - can every company achieve it 100%?

If the CEO talks and releases too much information about the company, there may be an impact for its development as there are so many copycats on the market.

If the CEO don't say too much, he will be criticized by every one including analysts and investors.

There were so many people praised Mr. Hein after he took over the job and promoted BB10. And now, all of a sudden, because of the June earning report, all arrows are pointing to him.

If I am correct, Mr. Hein has not had promised (i) to drive the stock price up (up to the previous level), (ii) to beat the market's expectation in just a quarter and etc. He always mentioned "a new mobile computing platform".

I have also invested in BB (not a small amount). Of course, I hope it will go back to $130.00 something. I was shocked after hearing the negative feedback from those analysts and BB fans online right after the earning call. Actually, I thought BB was doing quite good. I was happy with their released numbers.

BB team deserves much more time to let people adopt using the new platform and fight with other competitors.

I might be wrong, but I know exactly why I had put so much money investing on BB. It is purely because of the vision - BB10 and QNX. Time will tell.

  • BlackBerry: Do Short Sellers Feel Lucky? [View article]
I like reading your article, George.

I have no doubt about the result that was released this morning. I can tell BB10 phones will be selling well throughout the year.

Some people like to criticize on everything related to Blackberry - they just want to pick a piece of bone in an egg.

Long or short the stock - it really depends on how much you know about the company and what are you bet on. Logic and common sense do help make a decision.

  • BlackBerry's Stars Are Aligned [View article]
Agreed that March 28 is a big day to Blackberry team, fans and investors. I would love to know the result first thing tomorrow morning. I believe it will be a piece of good news to the market.

No matter what the result will be, we should believe and trust the Blackberry's management team and their products.

  • BlackBerry: Where There Is Smoke There Is Fire [View article]
It does not make sense to believe any rumors stirred up by Lenovo. They did it, of course, for a purpose. This was the second time to hear such a 'takeover' news. Nothing NEW!

Why would BB have to be sold? BB has its own potential to recover, improve, and move to a bright future.

  • BlackBerry Needs A Cheaper BB10 Handset And Fast [View article]
Cheaper handset is good for consumers in emerging markets. My concern is the quality. I have heard that BB phone's quality is far more superior to the other phones on the market. There is no free lunch. If you want a good smartphone, you will need to pay much more for it.

Local carriers can do something when promoting BB phones like offering different monthly plans for different consumers to pick.

  • First Major BlackBerry Update Shows Commitment To The Platform [View article]
    I am not a 100% Canadian (I am a Chinese), but I am 100% supporting BB.

I am touched as the company is improving and picking up the pace to fight again under the leadership of a good CEO. We, the consumers are the ones to enjoy the cool features of such a great smartphone Z10 in order to make our lives a bit interesting.

I appreciate their customer service as they really listen and care about consumers' good and bad comments. They do take actions!
