When numbers look incorrect, they are most likely incorrect, to paraphrase...
To understand check IBM: www.cnbc.com/id/158372... or XLNX www.cnbc.com/id/158372... or many other companies, and you'll clearly see that "Total Number of Shares Held" is not what it seems. It is often much bigger than all shares outstanding, and can not be attributed to naked shorting, since they are bigger than all outstanding + all shorted....
