  • Best And Worst ETFs, Mutual Funds, And Key Holdings: Small Cap Blend Style [View article]
David...As Usual. Another informative and interesting article . However there are a few questions that pertain to trading the funds :
    1. What is the criteria for classifying the stocks within the funds "attractive..Neutral etc" Moving averages "..50 day..100 etc?
2 Is there a" buy and sell " recommendation of the funds . ? On what basis ? I realize that "timing of the markets" may not be realistic ..then how is one to invest and when into them ? I like what I see and have looked over your Site . Thanks

  • Recent Weakness Presents Opportune Moment To Buy Philip Morris [View article]
To SPDial Thanks Logically, the investor makes the final decision. However , other peoples comments ..recommendations etc are always of interesting and helpful...Otherwise one would not be reading the S/A articles by the writers and their readers. It is my believe that one gathers all of the information possible to make the best decision. .there is nothing wrong with "another opinion" ..it may be better then mine . so it isn't"fear" but common sense in investing . Thanks

Unfortunately. After being a PM holder for many years with success...I now fear losing the gains based on the many different opinions on S/A. both positive and negative. This makes it difficult for any investor. PM was considered a growth opportunity even after the GOVERNMENT FED AND STATES reaped the harvest with suits and taxes etc. Count the billions taken off the bottom line for the last 10 years. ..PM was considered "evil" but it was sure nice to get the revenue ..show me another industry that got hit so bad .and still survived ..

  • Bullish Percent Indicators Signal Market Correction Is Underway [View article]
Like the article from the the standpoint the "Charting Examples" Is there an application so that we can apply "Sector Rotation" to this information..from the timing aspects etc ? Lowell, it looks like you an interesting approach..now it would help from an investment standpoint . Your articles are always interesting . Haven;t found a good source to apply "Sector Rotation "which I am highly interested in ...

Do we believe that PM Management will allow the stock to deteriorate to a point that everyone will dump it ? In the past management was the sharpest ...less concentration in the tobacco business is the answer. What comes next ? Some big merger ? Let's hope ..A long time Pm holder !

  • Rating Breakdown: Best And Worst ETFs, Mutual Funds, And Key Holdings By Sector [View article]
David .Very interesting presentation on ETF's In order to put more value on article, Can you give total returns [possibly for 2013] on the results of the picks for that year etc. .I think that this is one of the finer articles and concepts presented --precise and easy to understand Sector Rotation .looks great but timing seems to be the question when [in and out etc?] ETF turnover rate for tax purposes [short /long term ] Thanks

  • Shiller's CAPE: A Statistical Fluke [View article]
Wow ! Reading the article "Cape is stupid" and the many comments leads me to" no place"
Funny that Double Line funds tied up with the Cape presenter and started a new fund to incorporate this philosophy. Every day , I read the new philosophies and systems on how to invest. It seems like a endless task on following them and to find an investment solution HELP

Lowell A real gentlemen !.. to directly respond to my comments above . Seems like you are still in the "development stage" and i wish you well ..and will continue to follow up on your success. I like the the sector rotor approach but haven't find the timing factor. Ray

Still trying to decipher the results [total return] of each portfolio mentioned on Lowells site . Hopefully, they can beat the basic S&P 500 . I still see many other plans presented at S/A site but it seems futile that the simple SPY works just as well ..and simpler....Hopefully, Lowells system gives a good return ... especially, if therer is a great turnover of trades [ short term taxes due] Thanks .

  • A Rare Opportunity In Philip Morris [View article]
Article makes me feel good! Held PM for at least 20 years and it has been a great provider of returns ...however. do all good things come to an end ? Stock at lows of the year while the S&P is up 26 % Other then dividend yield the stock has "died" So would it had been wiser to invest these monies with better returns for the last three years or so ? Are we becoming too dividend conscious and missing the "big picture" ?

Long SDRL Why is the market reacting to the downside on the stock with a up market ? "Big Money " dumping it ? Charting trend down. .Just a correction?

  • Sector Strategy: 2014 [View article]
Arsene..So interested in "sector rotation" it seems like the most sensible approach to investing.and allocation to the 11 sectors..They seem to be the best "cycles" of investing since they represent the current stock movements . I have researched several investment services in Secctor Rotation but could not come to a conclusion. Best source for this type of investing? Do not see that you are associated with any companies supplying information Thanks
