  • BlackBerry Set To Plummet [View article]
Fingerprint technology is not innovative...it's been around a very long time. Regardless if anyone stores the prints or not, it is the perception that they are being stored and passed to Government agencies in the US that people are hearing...truth or not. JMHO

  • The Party Is Over For Chen, BlackBerry [View article]
Like others have stated, another re-hashing of BlackBerry's past. There is absolutely nothing new, nothing earth-shattering most people don't already know about.

The question is...What does the author thinks he will accomplish with this one-sided, opinionated, article?

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but it's really not a "puff" piece as you put it. TA is stating FACTS, something the Bears tend to try to ignore for the most part.

For true, BlackBerry will never be the same Company it was when it started out, and maybe that is a good thing. Sometimes it takes a failure or for something to hit rock bottom, before it can re-invent itself and evolve to a new realm.

BlackBerry is a Software company now, it does not just sell handsets.
    Just remember .....Never say never!

    Thanks George, another good article.

There are many good fits for BlackBerry, but I hope they are only selling off the HW and any Subsiduary that does not contribute to the I.T. Services or BBM.

  • Google Will Dominate Cars The Same Way It Dominates Phones [View article]
It's not good for one Company to dominate anything. Its not good for economy, not good for retailers, not good for consumers. Remember.....TOO BIG TO FAIL...next thing you know it...US Gov't bailing out Google. Not a good scene for anyone...JMHO.

  • BlackBerry: The Hits Just Keep Coming [View article]
It's guidance....expect a loss while they get their house in order. They are not giving Wall Street what they want to hear..oh...boo hoo!

I don't think there is another Mobile Computing company out there that has there house as clean as BlackBerry right now. Media scrutinization and investors have made sure of that fact.

I also believe that they will be the Microsoft of M2M, as Microsoft is now playing catch up (doubt it can catch up no matter how many phone company's the buy).

BlackBerry is far from dying....Apple has ifatigue and people are looking at alternatives to Android.....all JMHO

  • BlackBerry: The Hits Just Keep Coming [View article]
BlackBerry did give guidance on their last earnings call:

    Outlook

The smartphone market remains highly competitive, making it difficult to estimate units, revenue and levels of profitability. Throughout the remainder of fiscal 2014, the Company will invest in BlackBerry 10 smartphone launches, and the roll out of BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10, to continue to establish the new BlackBerry 10 platform in the marketplace. The Company will also invest resources to evolve BlackBerry Messenger into a leading cross platform mobile social messaging application, and launch other revenue initiatives associated with new services and emerging mobile computing opportunities. Based on the competitive market dynamics and these investments, the company anticipates it will generate an operating loss in the second quarter. The company will also continue to implement the cost savings and process-improving initiatives it started last year, in order to drive greater efficiency throughout the company, and redirect capital from these savings to areas of investment that will drive future revenue growth

  • There Is Something Interesting Happening With BlackBerry Usage In North America [View article]
I am leery of that data too...it may be up because people on new Platform surf 10,000 x more than older models.....who knows. I am still going with the guidance BlackBerry gave last quarter.....expect a loss this quarter and next....anything above that is bonus. JMHO

Really...look at Canaccord's past history...hideous! That goes with a few of the others who shorted at $8.00. Come on...it's a game and their game is trying to recover their short money...I trust no anlalyst that has skin in the game...they are not objective. JMHO
