  • MannKind: Looking Beyond The Short-Term Disappointment [View article]
That's the point here, I think. Those who came in MNKD at 8$ will have to wait another entire year to get some revenue out of their investment. On my side, I've been here since 3.xx$ and never thought to take my profits... which is silly when regarding last year share's history. Now, I am facing another year in the wait, and life being short, time is money. I could step off right now and get back in next April at the same price in the hope that there would be some wave to surf on. That's what I assume, at this time. Furthermore, individual investors like me have not the competence to decipher such a deal in 20 minutes and take a wise decision. This is why the pack is running down the cliff with losses and so on, like Panurge Sheeps.

MNKD is a long haul for new investors, I think. Those who want to deal with the stock market up to 80 years old may be tempted, but many are just using this market to add to their retirement, which is my case, and plan to get out of this madness ASAP with enough to enjoy life. So, will the stock settle itself up the 8$ barrier until news drive it North? There is clearly some panic out there. It has nothing to do with the true value of MNKD but with the fear of other investors just ripping off share value for a long time. Meanwhile, the Tesla thing, for example, is floating high on no revenue... Go figure!

  • Update: MannKind Enters Licensing Agreement - Is The Giant Leap Now Made Possible? [View article]
What I do not like, here, is the kind of "investors" that are selling off MNKD today, only on a Q2 0.07$ miss and despite of the joint venture announced a few hours ago. Also, the fact that the same people, even if there was a distribution deal on their radar screens in a short time frame, just reacted to the market drop of the last week gives me some bad feelings. This stock has been too much exposed to the critics, rumours and bashing, recently. This is not the company who is the problem but the crowd of speculators that bought MNKD last year or so. At the time of this writing MNKD is already back to where it was 7 days ago, below 9$! I mention I've been on MNKD since it was under 3$. Yes, I am here to make money too, but I came on MNKD because of its promising future. Currently, no one can say that the current "investors" are considering any future growth on this stock. They react as a rat pack stepping off a sinking ship.

I just hope that those who buy the stock today will be committed to MNKD's future, not only a "Sell on the News" perspective.

  • FDA approves Afrezza [View news story]
The real funny story is that I took a look at my Outlook box and saw a garbage SA thread advocating for the potential demise of MNKD because of their short cash, just posted. I then switched on my account to see if this had some effect... around 15:40, opened a query for most recent KNKD news and Bingo! I added a bunch at 8,50 (!) and sold 50% on the way up at 9,95$, 18 minutes later... and I still have a good position for another upside :)

Thanks to that stupid contributor, many, many thanks! :)

Yes, anything between 9.75 and 10.25 would be a good starting point for the next week, but I am almost certain that MNKD could open over 11$ Monday morning. I keep in mind that there are some partnership prospects on MNKD radar and everyone will be holding his breath until this is announced. So, I'd expect a kind of plateau around 12$, then a bull run up to 16-18$, after announcement. I have no magic ball to look at, but this is a potential scenario, from this point on. In this "plateau", there will be another entry point, if you have not already took shares in the last months or years.

That's what I read. "A Partner in Canada..." For what it's worrth, Valeant is trying to buy Alleregan, not the contrary. :)

They talked about a Canadian Partner? Could this be Valeant? I presume that finding who this Partner might be would give us a second target to invest in, maybe...

This is the only place over all to announce this. No one else mention it. Should be a mistake or a typo on SA

You had data? From where? No one had data and you are just another lame guesser who happenned to be on the good side of the fence. Your whisper thing was as off the realty than anyone else. No reason to be so triumphant... Some have lost their shirts here... But not me...

Not sure to understand what it underlies. Do you say that the "Whisper Effect" adds to the average trend (like a bonus to the W.E.), upward or downward, over a 30 days period... or is this the absolute number that is statisitically observed (in average), beating or missing?

    Good article.

In despite of the good indicators most of us expect on Friday, I'd be (gladly) surprised to see the share's value going over 16,50$. The investors are too confused to take a radical plunge from there. In fact, the investors don't fear the company : they just won't trust other investors reactions and good temper.

On another note, the famous "Market Share" paradigm is often discussed but few mention that this same market is constantly exploding, as mobile phones are gaining much more acceptance in many new fields. As an example, I see more and more seniors over 85 relying on them to stay permanently in touch with their relatives and friends, something that seemed out of the scope 12-18 months ago. This is market expansion. In their haydays, BB was selling some 8M units and was at the top of this industry. Now, with 30M a year, they will be third by a large margin. So, to me, the market share is not so important to appreciate the share value, as of now.

    Hoping for the best, eventually...

  • BlackBerry: Z10 Likely To Fail, Q10 And Q5 Give Hope [View article]
This is a proven marketing way of doing. For instances, musical instruments manufacturers used to introduce their mid price new technological devices before their flagship units. The usual stripped down products came after to make their technology available to the masses. It's been like this for decades in techno propelled industries. It works damn well for Yamaha, Roland, Korg, etc...
