I've got to say I don't know where to turn on this.
I had 7 kilos of silver last year, all bought at or around $20, and had to sell the lot at the beginning of this year to cover some large family expenses that my (self employed) salary couldn't cover.
It's a bitch to see that investment go up when you've sold out, and even worse to work out what it would have been worth now if I didn't have to sell.
So, I bought a kilo back (for the same price I bought 2 kilos for a year ago), and am back in the game.
My dilemma is, do I keep putting money back into silver now? I'd like to believe it's going to US$50 an ounce, but I'm also wary it's toppy now and due for a correction.
I think the money has been made in silver. That run up from $20 to $37 has been amazing, and has made us money, but where can it go from here? It's anyone's guess.
I believe in PM's as a store of wealth, and want to stay with silver, but am really unsure whether to plow back into physical at $37 an ounce, wait for a drop, buy silver mining stock, or silver options.

I'm going to go out on a limb and quote Jack Lifton.. “Dysprosium is key”..
According to the TMR Advanced Rare-Earth Projects Index, the mines with the highest concentrations of dysprosium are Bokan (Ucore), Dubbo (Alkane), Kutesay (Stans Energy) - the largest, Nora Karr (Tasman), Strange Lake (Quest), Zeus (Matamec)..
Would that not make them the miners to stock up on?
I'm currently only in Great Western and Lynas, but this chart is making me think I need to be elsewhere as well..

As my first oil play, I have just bought a small position in SU, with a view to adding to it as a long term hold.
I believe the US will come rely more on Canadian oil, the oil price will climb higher, and with the huge reserves SU are sitting on, for me, it's a no brainer.

I'm buying back into GWGM and Lynas (I had to sell some shares to cover family commitments), as I still believe in them as long term plays.
I read one of you had bought oil. I'm looking into this as well (maybe too late), but I still believe there are plays to be had given the price, IMHO, will only continue to go up.
Big oil is too expensive per share for my liking, as are the tracking ETF's.
I'd prefer some plays in Athabasca, or domestic US producer (lets face it.. the US will have to start ramping up domestic production to reduce dependency), but I'm still confused where to start looking to buy some low entry point, potential upswings.
Any ideas?
Oh... And do we consider uranium a no go at the moment, or now's a good buy? Let's face it. Nuclear will not go away, despite Fukushima.

What's your take on HL (Hecla)? Seems undervalued pending the result of the lawsuit results next week. Worth a poke?

I'm also considering buying AG or SLW mining stocks in parallel to a small, regular amount of silver.

However, at current Molycorp prices and rumours, I'd rather buy Avalon, or Altria, or McDonalds!
