I find Apple products to be dramatically more open to adding, changing, building apps, etc., etc., than Android because of Androids LACK OF ORGANIZATION. Android is HARD!!! to write for successfully on many fronts.
Yes, the problem is the GS4 is the same price, and it's nowhere near as good. Not even close! As said above, it breaks 3 times as often when dropped. It stops working far more frequently. While the screen size is big, it degrades until it lacks clarity, the color accuracy is way off, you can actually SEE the smaller iPhone screen better.
In fact, iPhone screen is even better than MOST, if not ALL, high performance graphics monitors used in color correcting and high level offset printing, and movie making.
It's the refrigerator (a knockoff of a competitor product, by the way) that is pathetic, not the man who took the time and trouble to write an honest, useful, unpaid-for post about his actual experiences with Samsung and Apple.
Can a phone that frequently just doesn't work, that breaks three times as often when dropped, that has lots of unremovable app krud, that is SLOWER than iPhone 5 be as good as iPhone 5?
How about when you go to sell it and it's quickly worth less than half what you can get for your iPhone 5?
How about when you go to upgrade it to get those sweet new features that are always coming in iPhones? There is no such upgrade.
How about when you want to pop your iTunes movie up onto your TV from your phone. Oh! Galaxy doesn't work with Apple TV, so you've got that nine-step process with Xbox or that 12-step process with Playstation.
If Apple's magic is broken, it's people like you who write ridiculous FUD who broke it.
Cook made a mistake. He pushed every new thing Apple would have for the next 8 months out the door before Christmas. Apple is secretive. With nothing new coming, analysts always assume the worst. That's what's happening now. But the company has been way overpunished for this mistake. Look ahead. Apple will continue to do well. You can bet on it and make good money on that bet.
This article is a joke. Samsung phones crash a lot and break more. They are not user friendly. in short, compared to nothing, they're wondrous. Compared to an iPhone, they suck. Until you've used an iPhone 5 for a couple of weeks, don't tell me how good any other phone is.

Almost everyone seems to accept le beau mensonge (the beautiful lie) about wealth distribution. One week I took a couple of days and went back year-by-year to chart how much more wealth has accumulated at the top end and how much less at the bottom. I was shocked to find that wealth distribution has moved up and down almost exactly in unison since 1986. My study included all sources of income, from inheritance to entitlements. I dug out the very best numbers available. The widening gap between rich and poor does not exist unless you choose some really unrepresentative start and end points, and even then, there is only a minor widening which soon levels out.
Why do we believe things that somebody says and never substantiates? Probably because the statement supports a political point of view and true believers grab it like its something off of Moses' tablets without ever checking. After years of constant repetition, everyone believes its true. There is a wide gap between the richest and poorest in America, no doubt. But it is only wider now in absolute dollar terms because everyone has a little more wealth in dollars now than in 1986. But as a percentage, the change is almost nil.
Apple will do with iPhone what it did with iPod: Offer multiple levels of performance and size, though nothing smaller than 3.5 inches. Offer multiple levels of price. Multiple levels of capability. Multiple colors. This is what Apple always does. There are two styles of laptop and several versions each of the Air and Macbook Pro with differences in size, computing power and storage. iPad is heading the same direction. Generally, there are three size models in Apple's paradigm, though the Air and iPad have only two sizes and the iPhone has two. As the iPhone 4 and 4S phase out, Apple will need to create another phone with the same form factor. And Apple will possible create a phone larger than the iPhone 5. This is simple and makes sense. So that's what Apple will do.
I agree. A 10-1 split or even 15-1 would be nice. It just feels better if Apple is down $15 a share, rather than $150. Less panic, and less delirium on the upside.
