  • J.C. Penney And The Emperor's New Clothes [View article]
I don't believe all the changes at JCP are negative. For the first time in my life my daughter has told me she likes Penney's, I never expected my trendy shopping Daughter to confess enjoying the atmosphere at a store her Grand Mother frequented.

I have bought FCEL in the $1 range over the past few years and on the recent spike sold half my position in the form of a covered call April $4 at .35. Will be happy to see that call go away. And wait for the next spike on news of a take over or large order maybe a unfortunate event that will again remind us to look at alternative sources of energy. So short guy keep it up and hopefully I will be able to purchase more sub $1 FCEL.

  • SandRidge Permian Trust- Ugly Updated PV-10 Priced In? [View article]
Is it not true that Sandridge is going to drill a large number of wells in the SDR trust this year that should spike production for 2014. Therefore a pay out yield of 30% is possible for the near future at present price 8.22 and if Nat Gas is above expectations there should be a unhedged position there also. I believe it would be prudent not sell until late 2014 just to see how this will play out. I will watch price action close to distributions and sell 25% positions into strength and repurchase after if prices retreats if I can replace shares 20% below spike price.

  • My Top Stock Pick In The Innovative Alternative Energy Sector [View article]
I have spoke to both GE and FCEL about transporting fuel cells this size on rail equipment from Minnesota to Arizona from one peak season to another or in the case of a natural disaster such as Japan and neither said it couldn't be done. As a railroad employee I know that most coal fired power plants locate near rail lines and indeed have tracks already in place to handle one and a half mile long trains.

I believe Posco their South Korean business partner maybe is buying up shares with the indention of a out right ownership. Japan wants to get out of the nuclear energy and this is I believe a great divesture for Posco Steel. But should the US Gov. stop this from happening? That would be the question.

  • SandRidge Gulf Of Mexico Asset Sale Is A Vote Of Confidence In Its Mississippian Play [View article]
Is there no conflict of interest to sell assets to one of your largest share holders at a loss of a half a billion dollars. When some share holders lose money to possibly enrich other larger position owners a referendum vote should be in order.

  • J.C. Penney: Sluggish Pace Of Turnaround Continues, No Signs Of Improvement In Q3 [View article]
Sounds like this nice man is short. The sales might be flat but that does not mean that items aren't moving off the shelf's. Previous CEO wanted higher prices and he got them. Penneys now has the best close out racks I ever seen so margins might go down but items sold create much needed cash flow. By Christmas they will have burned through those low margin items just in time for the best time of the year to reach the consumer. Take some of the short money and get in on the bargains. Maybe after actually visiting the store you might pick up (in my opinion) the best bargain since Best Buy in 2012,JCP under $7 no that was 3 weeks ago, under $8 no that was last week under $9 better hurry. and by the way I am long JCP.

If Vodafone is such a screaming deal why didn't Verizon keep the cash by buying VOD. Why let your competitor use your cash to create wealth.

  • SandRidge Energy: The Run Has Only Just Begun [View article]
SD was one distinct advantage over the Bakken play and that its proximity to refineries. The expense of shipping by rail has been estimated at $10 per barrel. So if they can save much of that cost their earnings per barrel should be impressive.

  • Is A Storm Brewing At Teva? [View article]
In this day of national health care and hmo's who could argue the fact that the generic mix of phama is going to be pushed on to consumers. What Teva should do is give the containment companies some much needed competition.

  • 5 Reasons SandRidge Is A Buy [View article]
It appears to me you might be short SD. None the less I think Mr Cooperman may have consulted with someone more in depth to the Mississippian play than one with the time to write here. I will bet with him I like long players.
