  • Dividend Champions For June 2015 [View article]
Mr. Fish, thank you for the clarifications. CRFQF has been paying a dividend for 10 years now, so CERF is a contender but it is primarily listed in Toronto: http://bit.ly/1SPBYTV

After the cut, NSLP pays 14% distribution. NSLP pays $0.80 annually, after that cut.

I agree. It is ridiculous to say that ASX is not a "mature" market.

  • Dividend Champions For June 2015 [View article]
Thanks for this article and this helpful list.
But, I think you could include more high yielders, for example like CERF Incorporated (CRFQF in the US, CFL.V in Toronto) and New Source Energy Partners (NSLP).

CERF and NSLP offer 12% and 14% respectively annual dividend (distribution for NSLP).

Actually, CERF has been giving a high dividend for 38 consecutive quarters now, which is 10 years. This is something unique for a small cap, according to this PRO article about CERF from another SA author that was out two days ago:

    http://seekingalpha.co...

I understand that you have to pick from a long list and you couldn't include everything in just one article, though.

You compare apples to oranges. You can't compare COP's performance with Lonestar's performance. You can't compare a giant to a small cap.

On a second note, the entry price in an E&P company always matters, especially when WTI plunges from $110 to $45 and the entire energy sector comes upside down.

Nicholas, I'm not Canadian and I was surprised by what you wrote about the elections in Alberta.
I searched a little and I found that the elections in Alberta won the New Democratic Party, not the Communist Party of Canada.

I also have seen different views about the new government and the oil industry, like this article below:

"Alberta Elects a Friendlier Face for Its Oil Sands"

    http://tinyurl.com/lj2...

Another thing, this new government is considered more environment friendly, which is good for the waste management sector of CERF, I suppose.

Among other things, I checked analysts ratings too. CERF has a "Strong Buy" Rating from all the four analysts that cover it.

Of these four analysts surveyed by Reuters Estimates that cover CERF Inc, the consensus rating is a Strong Buy.
The rating changed on March 03, 2015 when it was upgraded from a buy.

The analysts are from Global Securities, Mackie Research, Alta Corp. and Industrial Alliance.

I read the article and search a little...I liked very much what I saw and bought today.
I see many other SA contributors to focus to dividend stocks too, recently.

Chuck, thank you for another informative article. What is your opinion on CERF (CFL.V)?

CFL.V has been paying dividends for 38 consequtive quarters now and its current dividend is 12%! We talk for almost 10 years without stop...
Also, CFL.V has 39% insider ownership and strong YOY Growth, according to this PRO article below:

  • 11 Reasons To Be A Dividend Growth Investor [View article]
Thanks for the article. But, most of the aforementioned stocks have very low annual yields. Who cares for 2%-3%?
    My dividend portfolio includes:

High Arctic Energy Services (HWO.T, HGHAF) with 5% yield and 47% insider ownership,
New Source Energy Partners (NSLP) with 15% annual yield and
JP Energy Partners (JPEP) with 10% annual yield.

  • I'm Not Buying The Panic, This 9% MLP Yield Is Secure [View article]
Thanks for the article Bob. I believe that some coal stocks will survive the turmoil and it seems that ARLP could be one of them.

Talking about MLPs, another two MLP with secure yield is New Source Energy Partners (NSLP) with 15% ╬▒nd JP Energy Partners (JPEP) with 10%.

  • U.S. oil rig decline continues to moderate [View news story]
Well the oil rig count is a better indicator than the US crude oil inventory. There is a lot of misleading information regarding the weekly US crude oil inventory as explained with many details in a recent Seeking Alpha article below:

  • Vanguard Natural Resources Stays Ahead Of The Competition With Another Acquisition Announcement [View article]
It seems that VNR is very aggressive lately, although it has already accumulated almost $2 billion in long term debt as of March 2015. Hopefully, things will work for it and it will not become a victim of this debt-funded expansion. The expansion by mergers is a different thing though.
From the MLPs, I keep shares of low leveraged companies with high distribution yield like JP Energy Partners (JPEP) and New Source Energy Partners (NSLP).
