To pay alot more tax you need to make alot more money. Good problem to have. When I had my business I loved paying more taxes. It meant I made more money.

  • Iranian Politics Will Ultimately Knock Down Oil Prices [View article]
You're out of your mind. Oil production will be manipulated until we finally run out and are forced to go to some other fuel.

The market showed it could bear gas prices over $3 a gallon. Not saying like it. But it will bear it. I'll be surprised if oil even saw low 80's again.

Our nation needs a bailout and I'd rather we do it through necessary taxes and spending uts than QE's and hoping China feels sorry for us.

Nothing you said disagrees with my comment Diesel Dude.

I'm doing okay by the way. With or without the Bush tax cut and Obama's payroll tax cut.

And thanks to authors like Regarded Solutions, this year has been even better.

You are indeed correct that it is time we paid the piper RS.

Tax cuts and spend and borrow government to appease everyone dependiing on who has the powerful committee seats has spoiled everyone.

The end result is we're going to have to pay more taxes. It sucks but our carelessness in picking representatives and refusing to face that ultimately everything we get must be paid for is coming back to us.

I never wanted the Bush tax cuts or the payroll tax cut. They never made a bit of difference in how I live and if they made a difference in anyone's then that person has bigger troubles than a 10 or $20 a week tax cut. Get a second job.

  • $100,000 In Apple: Eggs Meet Your Basket [View article]
I've thought about a strategy of just putting all my money in one stock and waiting it out.

Last week I made as smart a buy as I've ever done by buying RPC (res). I sold CJES too early but didn't want to leave the oil serviuce sector. Found RPC that hadn't gone up yet and bought a couple hundred shares. It's up close to 15% the past few days. it made me wonder why instead of chasing a bunch of stocks and being happy with a small gain why not go all in on a company that's down like RPC but still safe and not going anywhere.

Apple isn't going anywhere and the bad buzz around it from last week is gone. It's back to Apple is king. If you like Apple so much why not just buy a boatload of it and be done with it?

  • The Price Of Gas Is Outrageous, And It Is Going To Go Even Higher [View article]
We're owned by the corporations, or at least our government is if that gives individuals comfort ETF Guy. I'll stay with oil companies as my way of sticking it to the man till alternative energy companies get more powerful lobbyists and pacs.

My answer is to buy stock in companies like Exxon or Conoco. I really like Conoco.

Leasing roads to private companies is a boon for politicians and their campaign funds.

Not so sure about this one Brian. Europe is still nuts and a load of their business is in Europe. They have the rest in America and Africa but no exposure, or very little in South America.

They have no business in China that I've seen either but that's expected.

Keep the picks coming though Brian. This is the rare one I take a pass on. Unless there's some info I haven't seen that changes my mind.

  • Greece: Monday Could Disappoint Markets [View article]
Watching this saga and the can kicking it makes me wonder if the EU is postponing Greek default since if it turns out well for Greece then the other PIIGS would see default and leaving the EU as the best course of action.
