  • The Risk And Reward Of Uni-Pixel, Inc. - Tread Lightly [View article]
Decent and objective article but you forgot to mention that the touch screen market isn't just limited to just laptops anymore. It's going to be everywhere. They are expanding the market significantly and rapidly. With Uni-Pixel being able to sell their product at very affordable prices using their patented process that skips multiple steps of expensive photolithography while still attaining the highest quality with 5 micron metal mesh bendable screens, they will blow away the competition. Not only does this make it affordable but it speeds up mass production process. This is why CIT/Atmel sees Uni-Pixel as a major threat and has a lawsuit against them. Considering the market being so huge and demand for new ITO replacement technology, you can only imagine how much demand Uni-Pixel will get once they prove that they can mass produce. Taking into account them being able to produce 50 samples for testing, I'm sure they have already been able to mass produce the Uni-Boss.

Here is just a small list of where touch technology will be used:

"Kiosk Point of Info (POI) - Museum information
Kiosk Commerce - Digital photo printing
    Kiosk Ruggedized - Gas pump
    Point of Sale (POS) - Restaurant; lottery;
    Office Automation - Office monitor
    Industrial Control - Machine control
    Medical Equipment - Medical devices
    Healthcare - Patient info monitor
Military Fixed & Mobile - Submarine console
Training & Conference - Boardroom display
    Legal Gaming - Casino machine
    Amusement Gaming - Bar-top game
    In-Vehicle - GPS navigation
    ATM Machine - ATM machine
    Mobile Device - Smartphone
    Appliance - Refrigerator door
    Architectural - Elevator control"

  • Ganging Up On Gold [View article]
You forgot to mention that there is a limited amount and that gold reserves in the U.S will most likely run out in 10-15 years if not much earlier. As soon as the time gets closer where gold is running out, the demand for gold will increase exponentially. The gold prices within a few more years will increase significantly.

Gold cannot rust or corrode. Gold is a very good electricity conductor. It is used to produce cell phones, circuit boards, headphones, jewelry and much more. It is one of the most valuable precious metals out there. Why buy it? There is a limited amount. Why buy it now? It's very cheap.

  • Uni-Pixel - An Enigma Worth Betting On [View article]
bullchin, if you hadn't known already metal mesh is currently the best touch sensor technology out there right now. It is far superior than ITO based touch sensor technology and nearly equal to ClearOHM but better in sheet resistance. Metal mesh technology is much cheaper than most if not all the touch technology out there. There are very few who are making metal mesh right now, and even fewer that have been recommended by a company like Intel. Uni-Pixel can make it more affordable than their competitors in metal mesh due to the quick and easy process that involve very few steps. Institutional investors sold their share very soon after seeing the SA articles that make some serious allegations. You can tell that is the reason why the PPS dropped because you can see the time of publication of the articles and correlate it with the steep drop in PPS. They have people just like us working there. They will be back though, I'm sure of it.

There are alternative ITO's but if you look into which ones are better, you can clearly see that metal mesh based sensors are by FAR superior than ITO alternatives based sensors too. Metal mesh sensors are better in light transmission, conductivity, and sheet resistance. Tell me any ITO alternative that is better than metal mesh. That is why fortune 100 companies are interested. The fact that Uni-Pixel can make it more affordable, faster, and much better than any other ones on the market makes them easily the best.

If Dell gave them $5M, they just gave away 4% of their net income for this quarter to Uni-Pixel. :|
If I make $20K a month, that'd be me giving away a good $800 for the quarter. Believe it or not Mukticat, that is still a significant amount of money to invest in for a company when they still have debt that needs to be paid for.

I'm sure you really wish that was true, but unfortunately for you, Intel recommends UNXL.

  • Is OCZ Making More Money Than You Think? [View article]
I've been using the OCZ Vertex 4 for high speed advanced data management. I make mathematical analysis programs that analyze historical stock data. I have been using this drive for one full year with my computer being left on all day long and it still works flawlessly at full performance. The ratings on New Egg of OCZ drives are very good. Many of the drives that they sell are some of the most popular on the market today. A market cap of only $96M of a company that sells top of the line drives is just preposterous.

    Good article.

Mukticat, Market cap is not the same thing as net income. They are giving away about 4% of what they made last quarter. That's like saying you're giving away around $500 if you make $50K a year. Since this is just the first of 3 payments for the year, you're really giving away about $1.5K in a year in that scenario. I don't know about you, but that's still a significant amount of money to be tossing around.

I spoke to Reed Killion in a public forum and he said that he got 5 additional major ecosystem partners...

He said she said or hearsay... Where's the transcript? What's the source? Otherwise irrelevant.

  • UniPixel (UNXL +11.6%) CEO Reed Killion discloses he bought 3.4K shares today at $14.90. Shares of the beaten-down metal mesh touch sensor developer have soared on the news. 45.9% of the float was shorted as of May 31. [View news story]
This way, he has room to average down if it does for any rumoreason go down.

He also has bills to pay, other investments, travel and such. This is also a microcap stock so you won't find huge insider transactions in here. He's not the CEO of Intel or something. If you look at many other insider transactions, this would be considered a significant amount.

  • Uni-Pixel: Convincing The Kibitzers A Short Squeeze Is On The Horizon [View article]
I love how the bashers have no comment to the article because they have nothing of value to say. A large majority of their arguments have already been debunked. They're running out of things to say and are now left with "WHERE ARE THE ORDERS?"

Orders don't just magically appear children. Maybe they haven't heard of confidentiality agreements. Most companies don't announce this kind of stuff until everything is completely finished. Uni-Pixel has already announced their ecosystem partners but hasn't given out the names yet. That's normal for companies to do.

  • Uni-Pixel Is Following The Script [View article]
The testimonies in Seth's article are irrelevant due to all of them being unnamed sources. I could make up an article with unnamed sources and claim all of it to be true. What happens to me? Nothing at all. Until he has some true backing, it's all nonsense to me.

Your article is not bad but it did come out as if you are supporting Seth's side of the story. It just seems as if you're biased and that you're implying that UNXL is going to continue downhill and are in agreement with Seth.

Anyone know what this is about?

"Uni-Pixel (UNXL) To Merge With Synaptics (SYNA) By The Fall Predicts Sierra World Equity Review. Look For Rebound This Week For UNXL Forecasts Sierra!"

    Google it.

It just came out but it's probably just a rumor. Kind of like this article.

"Oh come on...why would they be using an old demo to begin with??? That doesn't make any sense on mgt's part. I was long until this morning. I just had enough of this crap."

I would think it's because they're presenting the new one at Computex in a week. They show the new one that is fully functional last, after people have low expectations so people can see their significant improvements. Saving the best for last. Smart way to go about advertising their product, I guess.

I did hear some people say that they had the new one on display at these conferences too though.
