  • eBay's Death by a Thousand Cuts [View article]
That 800 pound gorilla is more like the Borg. They just want to give sellers something to chew on so they dont tear the place apart with Best Match. Best Match is nothing but ebays shopping list. You buy what I want when I tell you. Read between the lines of the announcement. Best Match will just not show you if ebay decides. They've already been doing it on Express & that's running Best Match and they're already doing it on the search playground. Pretty soon you wont have the regular old search to compare it to and then you'll never know. Put the good stuff off of ebay, load up with what ebay wants and what apparently sells; dollar store crap, ebooks and anything remotely associated with a freak show. Cuz that's what drives that traffic so effectively to ebay

  • How Donahoe Broke eBay [View article]
oh and I dont think its all Donahoes doing. We are paying for Meg Whitman & her vision, he's just carrying it out. Her leaving at this time doesn't mean she wasn't behind this to begin with. Don't give her and Bill Cobb a get out of jail card. They made millions pumping this site with the China cartels, and how to enhance that certain part of the male anatomy & get rich quick .99 ebooks. Their greed led them to dilute the marketplace and their actions of seeing buyers & sellers as a big fat wallet completely and totally conflicts with their marketing propaganda on how we are the community

  • How Donahoe Broke eBay [View article]
It's called making China a number 1 priority. Only ebay does beta testing for 18 months on a live site and can never roll anything out with it breaking. I'm not interested in buying off of ebays shopping list. I want them to show me everything I select and let me decide what to buy. I shouldn't have 200 missing products + you substitute products not matching my keywords on a high end collector product that's already scarce to begin with. Dont mess with the collectibles. The buyers DO KNOW you are hiding the goods and that's all we're interested in. Show me the stuff, get out of my way.

  • Will Increased Postal Rates Hurt eBay? [View article]
I'll tell you what's wrong. They weren't prepared with the paypal interface. Those bozos are too self-absorbed that they didn't even design the Paypal shipping interface to accept USPS provided packaging. First off when the rates when into effect, you couldn't ship anything priority unless it was a flat rate box. 11 damn hours & not one time did they put it up there on the system announcements. Everyone was asking for support. NOTHING. And then when they "fixed it" they know have it so you have to manually enter in the dimensional weight on every priority box you sent. Completely ignoring the fact that if they had a checkbox that says "I'm using USPS branded boxes" then you are not required to enter it in. Not even a pull down box with set measurements. Do you know how many boxes I ship in a week? Over a 100. The postal service doesn't require me to measure those packages but ignorants over at Ebays Shipping team were up against a deadline so they couldn't get it there. YUP THATS WHAT THEY SAID. So I switched to Endicia & the rest I show up at the post office & make them process it. I'm not getting carpal tunnel over this because they were too lazy to do anything. So now all the sellers using paypal are basically held hostage having to do this repetitious unnecessary task because the shipping team didn't think it was a big priority

And I can't list because of their new Sell your inventory form. Its designed for the clueless who will accept all those prefilled money sucking features that no one really uses. 7 years I've sold on that site fulltime. Nobody in the financial world believes ebay has a problem. That's because you're not in the front lines directly impacted by their retarded marketing driven brand-this managmeent team. Since May 1st they've done 12 major changes that impact finding items, selling items and most importantly shipping them. Do you want to know how many search changes they did last month? 15!!!
