  • 10 Reasons Why Electric Drive Is Stranded On The Bleeding Edge Of Transportation Technology [View article]
This last link by Don Harmon says something about men and their cars and why I think Tesla will do well, and electric drive has a great future especially in Europe with shorter commutes but high gasoline prices and urban pollution.

  • Dark Clouds Threaten German Clean Energy Ambitions: Global Implications [View article]
There is nothing wrong with solar and wind as long as it is backed up by gas peaker plants.
Here in the Netherlands there is a massive switch now from gasoline and diesel to natural gas because it is cheaper. A nation wide CNG refilling station network was recently completed. There is a production tax credit for green gas made from the fermentation of animal manure. Since there are many more animals than people here the green future almost has arrived, there is enough green gas potential to be self sufficient.
Together with solar and wind, electric drive (including a nationwide electric rail) a fossil fuel free future has now been planned.
    Cheers to TAN and FAN.

  • Energy Storage: 4 Breakout Stocks And A Short Circuit [View article]
Technology doesn't sit still. Battery investments are risky. Take the energy-dense, 100% recyclable Zinc air battery going into production this year for grid storage and transportation. http://bit.ly/ADfVps
That will drive the nails into your lead-acid battery stocks' coffin while benificial to a company such as Tesla which is technology neutral.

  • Why The Electric Vehicle House Of Cards Must Fall [View article]
There must be reasons for subsidies. In my mind the combination of the U.S. federal deficits, including the trade deficits are unsustainable and those who rule know this all too well.

Technology doesn't sit still. Take the energy dense, 100% recyclable zinc air battery going into production this year at a price of $160/kWh for grid storage and transportation http://bit.ly/ADfVps

This will drive the nails into your lead-acid battery stocks such as XIDE and Axion power but will benefit companies such as Tesla producing EV's since they are technology neutral.
    EV's have a great future.

It will also create jobs for California. I really dont understand your reservations about Tesla. It is an American company exporting an American made product all over the world. Their idea to bundle that electric pack is simply brilliant.
I'm sure there will be lots of orders for the Tesla s and x models from the Netherlands which has similar air quality issues.

EV is being adopted by western governments the world around because they know the era of cheap oil is over.
Where I live, in the Netherlands Europe, shiploads of EV's are on the way here. There are tax credits for EV until 2014 from when the market is supposed to take care of on its own.
Local and city governments like them due to elimination of inner city pollution.
Within a few decades all transport will be electric and CNG.
You cant stop the future from happening.
There is also a large market for Li-ion batteries for indoor industrial vehicles.
