  • VirnetX Vs. Apple At The CAFC: What Was Said And Why [View article]
Where does VHC stand with it's court cases. Since not being able to follow it lately, I have lost all sense of the legal proceedings. Are they over? Is VHC in line to receive immediate royalties or are there more appeals coming and delays in the future. Could someone please update me?

  • Kodiak Oil & Gas Corp misses by $0.01, misses on revenue [View news story]
No surprises hear. Oil prices were cut drastically in the 4th quarter which is the reason for the .01 and $3M miss. I actually thought it would be more. Oil prices are suppose to stay near the $100 figure which will help first quarter, although it should be flat. The balance of the year should take off for a big year end closing.
These figures will probably invite M&A companies.

  • WSJ: Bakken shale oil carries high combustion risk [View news story]
Old news. It's not the tanker car, it's the railroads for lack of safety. How can they have 2 trains in opposite directions scheduled on the same track? It's not the arrow it's the indian. Nobody ever wants to admit blame.

  • Unilife And The Third Place In Healthcare: Why Trends Matter And Why Success Is Inevitable [View article]
For those of you that find this article hard to follow, look at the beverage business. We are getting away from bottles, cans, the grocery store, and massive warehousing for soft drink products. This is not a hype for the stock, but sodastream is doing the same thing in the beverage industry. Unilfe is a similar type product, just a different industry.

  • Bakken Update's 2014 Stock Picks: The Permian Operators [View article]
Does anyone have a list of up and coming companies in the Permian that trade between $3 and $8/sh. Or are all the prime spots taken by the bigger companies. I am always looking for the $5 stock with promise. Does SD have a good position in the Permian. Help me if you can.

  • Halc√≥n Resources: Eagle Ford Update [View article]
It has been a long cold winter. Does anybody have a clue how this has affected HK or MHR and Kog for that matter. I have heard rumors that they all had to shut down rigs and turn off the flow in some areas. Not good for the investor.

  • UniLife - Still Bullish After Q2 2014 Earnings [View article]
After reading the comments from Shortall, it seems there is clear uncertainty of new contracts in the near future. Even if a contract was announced tomorrow, it is unclear what this means. The pharma companies are using the injectibles for different phases of their testing. It could mean money up front for the testing and nothing if not approved by the FDA.
Plus the uncertainty of financing leads me to believe these contracts are not as lucrative as presented. Waiting on the sidelines appears to be a better move. The last run up didn't scare the shorts and I don't think it will on the next little spike. They just don't give anything but bait information with a lot of doubt surrounding it.

  • USPTO issues initial rejection of Vringo claims, shares +1.2% premarket [View news story]
As a last resort the patents are once again being challenged by Google, who does anything and everything to stall or prevent payment to vrng. They have tried this before and the patents are always remained valid. At $4.30 per share, I keep buying and will sit in this. Besides rulings coming in the laches appeal, zte, and other infringement law suits, 10x this price/sh is a reality. The possibility of a favorable appeal by Google is a joke. They would have been better off settling. But I do love Google money. Others will settle and not want to go what the Googies have gone through.

  • Proof Positive That Vringo Is Dead Money [View article]
Buy-Buy-Buy! Thank you for selling of the highs. At $4.25 the stock is a dream buy. Google played their hand out by claiming they had a work around. The judge found it to be window dressing. For the deliberate delays and false technical representation, Vrng was awarded a 6.5 royalty based on previous case law. Google can petition all they want for a new trial, but they will fail. In the appeals process there is not way the 3 judges will decrease the royalty rate. WHO are you kidding! They have less than a 10% chance of winning a petition and other Judges don't step on the toes of their peers when decisions are base on legal findings. PLUS there is a good chance that Vrng will win their laches case against Google and near verdict or settlement from ZTE. Google would have been real smart to settle, but they thought they had people in the right position to help them. It didn't work. Please keep the stock price in the low $4s so I can keep buying thousands of shares. This is a $16 to $20 stock, derisked and will be settled before you know it. I'll keep buying until the word comes out, which could be any day on numerous fronts. I'll gladly spend $100,000 today and collect $500,000 or more 6 months. Give me another scenario that offers that kind of return. You can't.

  • David Slays Goliath: Vringo Awarded Billion-Dollar Victory Over Google [View article]
Vrng is a winner and we can finally sit back and watch it grow. Forget all the hypes or bashing. The pps will float higher as the days and weeks go on. I'll set my sell at $30 and options will be doubling and tripling over the next 2 months. No need to be greedy. Time is on your side. Google is a dead issue.

  • A roundup of tech ratings changes [View news story]
Funny you never hear anything about the Calypso Wireless vs T Mobile case regarding patent infringement by T Mobile. A lower court changed the Markman ruling in favor of T Mobile. Calypso has appealed the ruling. This was to go to a jury but the judge took over the case. It seems like the judge only listened to T Mobile's argument over fixed vs variable distance from phone to tower or wifi.
His decision threw out the case and appeared to be vary biased toward T Mobile. A battle is currently at the appeals court and Calypso should get a favorable ruling. This could cost T Mobile billions. The had agreed to a settlement with Calypso before the initial court date. Anybody know what is going on?

  • Kodiak's CEO Discusses Q3 2013 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
Earnings per share. It is time to meet the expected earnings for the quarter and the year. We keep seeing great strides in production and surpassing expectations. But we just witnessed the drop in the stock price because of bad earnings. This needs to change. We were told that most expenses for the multipads were charged in the first and second quarters. It gave a false sense of earnings expectations to the street. And once again we get hammered for it. Earnings and production need to be in line or else lower your forecasts. Sometimes it is not what you do, it's what you say. Quit exaggerating the numbers. You never hit them.

  • Are Key Investors Abandoning Kodiak? [View article]
Buy Sell or Hold? Being a long term investor in KOG, I believe they have finally turned the corner. They have increased they acreage and have tested it all. They know that they are in one of the best areas of the Bakken and have proceeded to multiple well pads, increasing efficiency and reducing costs. Production figures should exceed expectations along with 3rd and 4th quarter profits. Some of this is built into the present price of the stock, with investors on stand by, waiting on 3rd quarter results. Oil has gone up and down and has not affected the price. Volume has been down. The only glitch I see in the near future is US involvement in Syria. Once this happens, oil will go down and oil stock prices will pull back 10%. Since this could take weeks, we may KOG giving preliminary reports ahead of it's finall 3rd quarter results. If this happens, we could move past $11/sh in a heartbeat. Why bail or not buy now, when KOG is finally at the point of reporting some exciting numbers.
Their expenses have already been taken in the first and second quarter, 3rd and 4th quarters should be a blow out.

One thing I should note. With the trouble in the middle east at hand, oil has increased by 10%. This will hold or increase until the U.S. has it's missle strike. Once the strike happens, oil will drop back to the low $90s. You will see a bounce in KOG but it will bounce back because of 3rd quarter production and profits.
