Silver: The Last Great Thing - For Now [View article]
Well.. according to Jason Hommel and Ted Butler with silver being so limited in supply and so important industrially and the ETF not provding share holders the ability to cash in for physical silver under 50,000 ounces. they make a case for $200--$350/oz and not using ETF'S very far into this year as it is a paper promise that can be voided. Thus any premium paid to coin shops,on line dealers or the US.MINT to take delivery will be a non-factor. My cost basis with delivery is $14.10 and it matters not to me. Why sell @ $22.50 ?
I repeat the suggestion to read,,,, Theodore Butler, Jason Hommel and his listed sites. This time fundamentals will mean more than chart techs and you better read words more than lines. And to Silver Analyst, your study and chart of the commercial shorts was mis-leading as Butlers work is on the concentrated 8 & 4 huge shorts that have manipulated gold & silver for years to unreal low prices. Thanks to them my cost in hand is $14/oz silver bars , maples, & eagles. Start reading Butler from May '07.
If you think silver is good now just wait for the huge short position to start getting covered! Less than 1% of gold is used industrially but for the last 60 years industry has used up all production and reclaimation and 100 billion ounces of world inventory with maybe one billion left. Silver is far far rarer than gold. If just 1% of gold investors switch to SILVER EAGLES the price will skyrocket. $ in gold are in the trillions... $ in silver are in the low billions. The gold/silver ratio was 80/1 a few years ago, 55/1 now and probably going to historic 15/1 or lower when this story gets better known.
Do you agree with Ted Butler that the concentrated shorts in silver are manipulation that has been ignored by regulators and needs a flood of complaints and crimminal charges? Do you see a rise in such complaints about the COMEX or more awareness which will hasten a short squeeze?

APEX SILVER (SIL) May 9th comments and response by TREY WASSER is my concern. Will the new mine opening about Sept. '07 produce much more silver ,zinc,&lead than is currently headged at bargain prices? Or, is the current stock price runup more of a political fear bounce back? Should silver pass $25/oz say by Nov. '07,how much if any, will SIL benefit ? According to Theodore Butler, silver is set to explode any time the massive short position cracks. If some reason prevents a public answer please respond directly to ellisonearl@yahoo.com ( my lips are sealed) Earl Ellison
