I remember being fascinated by the stock market since grammar school. My friends read the comics, I read the stock tables in the LA Times. The hook was set when the first stock I bought (1974) tripled. There are days when I wish I had never gone fishing but I believe if I did not have such days I would never have persevered. I think of every problem as an opportunity and every opportunity as a gift from God. I am a mechanical engineer by education and am fascinated by the worlds of physics and mathematics. I "retired" at 42 (1994) so I could trade stocks full-time. I value humility, loyalty, integrity, patience, compassion, an open mind and a strong sense of humor. I detest political correctness, cultural correctness, idolatry and parents who put those bands arounds their babies' heads.
