    They can be "dumped back into equities" anytime. Recipients of the dividends have no time constraints in that regard.

    Excellent article, Mr. Longo, except that it is NOT up to date. The CBOE has postponed a vote on the exercise right settlement, due to in-fighting by former CBOT members as to who receives, and in what proportion, the settlement proposal. Until they resolve that, the CBOE does not wish to be party to any settlement that re-initiates any further legal action, in this case, between the (former) CBOT members.
