  • Westport Innovations (WPRT) +1.5% premarket after Q4 earnings miss estimates but revenues beat consensus. Issues upside guidance for FY 2013 with revenues of $430M-$460M vs. consensus $422M. Jefferies thinks this is a good entry point for the stock, seeing a number of positive catalysts over the next 12-18 months. [View news story]
This is the next big thing, but there are some risks/hurdles, but as long as the pols dont get in the way...Nat Gas and WPRT are well positioned for significant growth. I am cautiously optimistic that King Obama has figured out that an energy source that is abundant, cheap, and produces much less carbon footprint than oil, is far better than a pipe dream, pie in the sky bet (of taxpayer money) on solar.
Once Obama gives up and stops micro managing, things will get better. Just look at the job growth today! And noteworthy to point out, NOT DUE TO ANY STIMULUS package! Just think if 10% of the stimulus package was allocated to tax credits on opening up NatGas filling stations along our major highways, we would have gotten a bigger return than all the money that was thrown down the drain, stolen, etc.

Holder of PM since 1960. We have heard this argument every year since 1960, and we laud your efforts and are happy to see that there are more of you to be converted to PM investors! You will change your mind eventually.......

  • The Silver Singularity Is Near [View article]
When the price of oil reaches and stays above $200/b and at some point it will; then solar panel demand will sustain high demand for AG (not the stock the element) and since the PV panels each require nearly 1 oz of silver, the price of silver will soar, not in a speculative bubble but as a long term response to sustained demand....... for economical, sustainable, relatively clean energy from solar panels. And yes there will be enough AG to go around because the price mechanism will ensure that :) This is independent of investment demand which seems almost as certain, due to our clueless voters and spendthrift, shifty pols.

  • The Online Money Show: 4 Reasons the Silver Bubble Should Continue to Deflate [View article]
You are amusing, at least. So, mr. right, what is your call for the next move in silver? Will we drop below 30 then to 26, or bounce/run from here back to 40?
That is a tough call, but you claim to have made a correct call when silver peaked/ Where from here smart boy?

  • Get Ready for $30 Silver [View article]
Patience is a virtue. There will be many more moderate 20% corrections in silver, 5% in gold before this is all over-- the terrific collapse will be postponed, making it even deeper -- the end being the default or hyperinflation of at least the PIIGS and maybe even their Cousin across the Atlantic, and I don't mean Canada.

  • Get Ready for $30 Silver [View article]
This is an expected correction, no one can predict precisely how much more to the downside, but the fundamental demand for industrial use has not gone away, nor has the US Budget deficit, the political pressure to stimulate the economy, so we we have not seen the highs in Silver, not by a long shot. $100 could be right around the corner -- especially if QE3 gets started (its inevitable that it will) have you seen the jobs reports?

  • Chris Berry: Lithium to Elevate Equities and Investor Mood [View article]
Many of your readers did not get the double meaning here -- Lithium is used as a depression medication; so although the Lithium stocks will be driven higher by cleaner/alternative energy demands, the US dollar will not be elevated even if dosed with every ounce of the worlds supply of Lithium :)
Just too many drunken, self-absorbed politicians in Washington, and a US population that is heading toward a majority of uneducated, government dependent half-wits that will soon actualize their true worth.

  • If Metals Decline After a Rise in Stocks, What Would Happen If Stocks Declined? [View article]
No one can argue that more data/coefficient analysis can be useful. These things all break down, that is they are not reliable, as those who use them would be exceedingly rich if they were reliable much more than 50% of the time.
The best reason to accumulate (not trade) PM is that the another perfect storm is brewing; my coefficients are TUNISIA and EGYPT, as well as Greece Portugal, and Spain with 20% unemployment and no real way to grow their way out of the problem.
The US is not far behind. For those who remember the 1960's race riots in the US, the coming crisis in the US will make those activites look like a square dance.
