RIM 'Priced to Perfection'; Gadgets Top Gifts in '07 [View article]
I am amazed at how many people have made such comments in this last (tax selling) week of the year. I think AAPL held up remarkably well with the onslaught of sales. It should reach $210 or better by Macworld. After that it will probably see some selling pressure but the long term (12-18 months) is $300 when Wall Street realizes the hidden value of the iPhone venture to spur the biggest money maker of all for this COMPUTER MAKER, the Mac.
Way off base on this one Larry. You are grabbing at straws if you think Apple is not as creative in its ability to get the new customers as it is in retaining them. They have been doing the latter for over 20 years. Apple fans are fans for a reason, they love Apple. Those fans will not abandon the company merely because some folks could not play by the rules that were clearly spelled out in the iPhone/AT&T contract. I personally am glad they got what they deserved.
Wozniak will talk to anyone who will listen to him. He is a meat and potatoes guy with a filet bank account. Now he thinks what he has to say is somehow more important.
iPhone Delay in Asia Proves Costly As Counterfeits Steal Share -- Bloomberg [View article]
You can't be serious. I have traveled in Asia and have seen these knock offs. They are horrible imitations. Losing market share? Really.
When they begin selling them they will sell to everyone that wants one and can afford one. The knock offs will always be sold to those that want one and can't afford one. Once the real thing is available, the owners of the knock offs will be embarrassed to present them in the same room as the real thing. To save face they will keep them hidden because it reflects the fact that they have no money.
What Does Verizon Have In The Wings? [View article]
Todd, I think you would be shocked if the sun rose tomorrow morning.
Verizon isn't going to create an iPhone killer, nor is Google going to be successful in making hardware. Apple will continue to innovate and grow the market they have created (and no, RIM does not have a REAL smart phone to compete).

Apple: Sell the News, For Now - Barron's [View article]
I agree Peter. The analysts advising to sell are standing in front of a fast moving freight train yelling at the top of their lungs but only those nearest them can hear them and follow their advice. They will be drowned out by all the AAPL sales stats and rumors of newer greater products still in the pipeline that speaks to the relative strength of this stock. My dad has always told me not to be a market timer, believe in a company and stick to it. Apple is a good one to believe in. Made millions already and will make millions more before the party is over.
Apple to Exceed 500,000 iPhone Sales This Weekend? [View article]
What remains to be seen is how the market will react to this amazing launch. Most analysts are saying to sell the news (an old adage that I don't believe will work this time around) and buy the stock at lower prices this summer. I think they are in front of a freight train and will see AAPL stock climb this wall of worry.
Cowen Advises: Place Your Mobile Internet Bets On Google, Not Apple [View article]
I am convinced all these analysts are living in a cave. They are not aware of the huge momentum that Apple has built up and continues to play in their favor. Actually, I don't mind their negative reviews and sell advice because my investment will continue to climb this wall of worry. They are standing in front of a freight train yelling stop but no one can hear them and they are frustrated.
Apple: What to Make of the iPhone Battery Hype? [View article]
Apple is on the threshhold of changing the phone market as they did the "music-on-the-go" market. Wall Street and FUD propagators such as yourself just haven't come to grips with it yet. You will.
