Jack Welch , may have been a good motivator of people, however, did he set up the company to survive in the real world we now live in? Did he pay attention to the technology of the future or concentrate is getting every last nickel out of his light bulbs. GE was a great company when it primarily developed and built great products, did it really have to put so much into financing? We are learning that creating paper profits is not the same as creating wealth.
