Karl Mitchell is a natural scientist, working at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, primarily interpreting data of Saturn's moons from NASA's Cassini spacecraft. He has published over 30 peer reviewed scientific articles on subjects as diverse as volcanic eruption dynamics, planetary geology and stereo-photogrammetry of clouds. Karl's recent work has no discernible relevance to the economy or "the real world", but he insists that it's both important and very cool.
