soon after you admit to taking down posts that were BS on two stocks, you post this one on what Red Chip says. What's the difference? and to triple? they are promoters also. You are losing more integrity each day. thanks. just a heads up.

  • Consumer spending watch: Gas prices are down 28% since February's peak and analysts see another 20% drop coming up in the next few months. A rough estimate of the impact of lower gas prices on consumer spending is that a dime drop translates into $13B back into the wallets of consumers. Companies that could see a boost from the trend include Wal-Mart (WMT), Target (TGT), and Costco (COST) - while ETFs such as Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR (XLY), Vanguard Consumer Discretionary (VCR), PowerShares Dynamic Consumer Discretionary (PEZ), and Market Vectors Retail (RTH) could also benefit. [View news story]

  • Whitney Tilson may be cringing a bit today, as shares of Herbalife (HLF +9%) continue to claw their way back from last weeks drubbing. The stock is rising again for a fourth session as some big hedge funds take advantage of the opportunity to cover shorts on the weakness created after Pershing Square's Bill Ackman accused the company of being a "sophisticated pyramid scheme." The stock has now risen nearly 30% since hitting a fresh two-year low last Tuesday. [View news story]

  • Yum Brands (YUM) can breathe a little easier after hearing China's government report chicken samples from the company's KFC division complied with government standards. A regulatory agency noted 32 samples passed tests on levels of antibiotics and steroids after the issue of contamination cropped up last week. With 44% of its revenue derived from China, Yum Brands knows full well it's important to protect its brand image in the nation. [View news story]
you should report the rest of the story to be fair to readers.

SHANGHAI -- Shanghai regulators gave Yum Brands Inc. some shelter from
criticism by China's state-run media of its food-safety practices, saying
chicken sampled from the U.S. restaurant company's KFC arm complied with
    government limits on antibiotics.
But pressure remains as authorities pledged to press ahead with further
investigations of potential food-safety violations by Yum. The Shanghai Food
and Drug Administration also said that tests showed what it called
suspicious levels of an antiviral drug that will prompt additional
attention. Yum, which has said it is working with authorities and is
committed to food safety, didn't respond to requests for comment over the
    weekend.

  • The "fiscal cliff" is what is driving stocks down right now, says Wharton's Jeremy Siegel. Any sort of deal, even one that extends tax rates slightly higher than they are now, is easily going to buy you 500 to 1000 points on the Dow. (Video[View news story]
No, that idiot was James K. Glassman. This idiot is the one who says Dow 17000 next year.

  • President Obama's proposal to extend the middle-class tax cuts before reforming the tax code and entitlements is a "sucker's game," declares Wilbur Ross. There's no trade-off there, it's just the president saying give me what I want, and I'll agree to talk about the rest later. What's being obscured by Washington is that the fiscal cliff issue isn't about taxes and revenue, but that our country is spending way too much. “You can't solve the bulk of the problem with revenues," Ross says. "It’s not going to happen.” [View news story]
Typical of Wilbur who gets guaranteed loans by the gov't to buy banks that have gone bust. He feeds at the trough like most pigs. If both the dems and repubs want to keep tax cuts for the middle class then it should be signed. Gov't has worked very well for the talking horse and in gratitude he should comply with graciousness. Of course it won't solve the debt problem of the U.S. but it's a small part of a much larger part. A little here, a little there. After all, medicare and social security are going to be asked to give up a litte too.
