I am an investor relations consultant with 25+ years experience steering IR strategy and outreach for over 100 companies across a range of industries. We launched Catalyst Global in early 2012 to serve as a platform for innovating the IR role to better address the radically different dynamics and needs of public companies and investors.
Catalyst's mission is combining senior level experience and counsel with targeted outreach and efficient communications to deliver real change and share price results for "smidcap" companies in today's markets. We understand relationships and credibility take time, and we root all our work in integrity, candor and a focus on ROI.
I post on Seeking Alpha to expand the reach of client and other investment stories we like - and to understand the nature of these new channels of communication. Networking ideas and working with new media is integral to the IR function - plus it's fun.
CG Focus List is a separate service we use to highlight specific investment stories brought to us by some of the really smart investors we know. Profiled companies can be clients, ex-clients, non-clients or desired clients - but they are stories that offer very attractive investment potential and commensurate risk (there's no free ride in investing!)
My posts are NOT endorsed by the Companies on which I write - client or otherwise. We believe in truth and fair play at all times, and at all costs, and gravitate to those who share that view.
I like exposing Penny Stock Pump and Dumps. Most of my research is done to help good hard working people avoid being scammed into investing in a pump and dump. Share the reports to show Seeking Alpha they are worth publishing this kind of information to help people avoid losing money in pump and dumps.

Wall Street Forensics - Chief Research Analyst www.wallstreetforensics.com Instavest Lead Investor - You can follow my personal trades and invest your own money with me via Instavest www.instavest.com My focus is on ground breaking technology and the companies that will deliver them in the future. I have managed a family portfolio since 2008 that has been focused on growth and income generation. You can follow me on twitter @WallStForensics
My Wall Street Forensics weekly newsletter provides in-depth and analysis of tech companies. Individually stock picks are recommended portfolio weightings and price targets. Investment picks may range from emerging technology companies that are highly speculative stocks and come with very high risks and very high rewards or momentum stocks that are more mature and come with downside risks but potential explosive upside potential. Stock picks are held captive for Wall Street Forensic subscribers for weeks or months before they are released to the public. This gives subscribers an advantage to get in early before the general public is alerted of my investment picks.
I am a strategic leader with over 13 years of experience in Internal Audit, Accounting, Finance and independent investment research for multi-billion dollar corporations with a demonstrated record of achievement and understanding of business processes, corporate strategy, financial month end close and forecasting.
I have a financial oriented mind with the ability to understand technology, operations and the financial impact of change on an organization’s income statement. My research efforts are focused on technology and the relationship of various data inputs to assemble conclusions and various scenario outcomes. I have been recognized as an independent research expert in technology specifically related to Apple and Intel by various media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, USA Today and CNN Money.
My general area of focus is on technology companies. Specifically, technology companies that will help improve and are improving and impacting our daily lives. I enjoy taking a deep dive into up and coming tech companies or companies that are enduring product or industry transition.
In evaluating investment opportunities, I consider a company's management, products, customer relationships, competitive positioning, financials, the macroeconomic climate, social media response and other sources.
I arrive at my own conclusions, tuning out the noise of the marketplace. My investment choices are typically based on a holding period of at least two to three years. Influences include Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Howard Marks, Joel Greenblatt, Steve Romick and Warren Buffett. My academic studies were in literature and psychology; I've supplemented this with extensive reading in business, economics and investing.
Andy Blinston is the founder of Investing Sidekick, a website that provides stock reports and analytical spreadsheets for investors. He has been working as a research analyst for 10 years and aims to share his analysis and insights with private investors.
I am a retired wall street attorney. I started out specializing exclusively in securities law. As I developed my practice, it morphed into a corporate finance practice specializing in mergers and acquisitions, with the securities law aspects being secondary.
I'm not much for diversification. I tend to put a substantial amount in a few baskets and then watch those baskets very, very carefully.
I'm currently an investment professional. In my spare time I invest in my personal account, focusing on event-driven and obscure equities, where I believe large mispricings exist.

CFA, Alternative investment professional, equity bias but cap structure agnostic. I spent a year on the PHLX options exchange, and worked as an integral member of the investment committee of a medium sized L/S hedge fund in NY, as well as their head-trader, for 6 years.
My personal bias is towards special situations, and smaller cap names, . I use a value-investing orientation, though I try to marry actual catalysts and a top-down understanding to any thesis I present.

Seeking investments without using the ridiculous style-box approach. If I can make a return in excess of what I judge the risk to be, I'll invest. Over time, using a Kelly formula, I tend to weight positions from 2-10%. A diversified portfolio is a career-saving move, not an investment philosophy.
My primary focus is on Risk Arbitrage but at various times over the past 20 years I've had the majority of my funds in: Value, Growth, Spinoffs, Special Sit, Momentum, Junk, Defaulted Debt, Preferreds, and Converts; all have their place and time.
I'll try to use options if possible to magnify returns for

I run long-only family office assets with a focus on small-cap deep-value securities. In many cases value is hidden below the surface of simple financial metrics and screenable criteria. I'll publish notes on Seeking Alpha when I have something insightful to share that is not getting proper treatment from mainstream research channels. Please note, I'm very busy trying to relax. Writing articles and responding to emails is an after-hours activity. What I lack in publishing regularity, I hope to offset through quality of dialogue. I have met some ridiculously talented and brilliant analysts through Seeking Alpha. This is my true (selfish) motive for re-engaging in such a public forum.
Former buyside analyst now running my own fund for accredited investors. If you find my articles balanced and interesting, feel free to reach out - always up for a conversation. Things to know:
1) I research a lot of companies, but invest in very few. My goal on SA is to provide analysis, particularly of small and underfollowed companies, that readers can use as a starting point for their own research. When you read my articles, please understand that I try to present a high-level look. It's up to the reader to determine if it's the sort of situation that is worth monitoring. Note that I usually try to err on the side of conservatism, so just because I'm not enthused by a particular investment candidate doesn't mean you shouldn't be.
2) I appreciate comments whether you agree with me or not - especially in cases where I might be wrong, I'd like to know why! If you happen to be a particular expert on a topic and are interested in discussing it further, please shoot me a direct message. I would love to chat. Or if, you know, you're just a lonely value investor who wants a friend. Jokes aside, I've made lots of great friends through SA and am always open to talking.
3) If you enjoy reading my work, in no particular order, you might also enjoy reading fellow SA authors Vince Martin, Stephen Simpson, Brendan Rose, Brian Grosso, Bumbershoot Holdings, Adib Motiwala, Jeremy Raper, Investing 501, and Ted Barac. Most of them have professional investment expertise and the ones who don't are equally insightful. Like Amazon recommendations, not all of these will be perfect, but if you're new to SA, it's as good a place as any to start!
All the usual disclaimers apply... articles are provided for entertainment purposes only, interpret everything as opinion rather than fact, do your own due diligence, this is not an offer to sell securities, forward looking statements are not made using a crystal ball, etc. Most importantly, I will reiterate that everything I write is an opinion; analyzing stocks is inherently subjective and two reasonable people can come to different conclusions.
