  • Forget $100 a Barrel - Oil Will Plummet to $30 [View article]
    Well

Does this guy know that the rise of oil had nothing to do with rising demand in the US? Wow.

    Hey

I feel the same way. The real big boys are just getting back to work and I'm sure will see the joke that is this month's trading going on. Gold will be up 5-10 percent in the next six months based on the fundamentals of global insecurity, gold not being available, the rest of the world raising rates, and the fed dumping more dollars in a second stimulus to keep the consumer spending.

    Wow

You mean with the country's leadership of oil executives, the highest gainer in wealth over the last presidency was energy. I can't believe that happened.

  • PowerShares WilderHill Clean Energy ETF (PBW) Holdings [View article]
    Hey everyone

I have tracked PBW the last six months and currently own a call spread on it. This ETF does exactly what I think the ETF philosophy should be: be balanced. PBD is also good for the global exposure. Long term this is a nice ETF to own.

    Hey

This is not the industry to be stock picking. Purchase an ETF like PBW or TAN and you will see the gains.

  • First Solar and SunPower: Competitors With Synergy [View article]
    Hey Andrew

Because of the volatility, I instead purchased a call spread of PBW. It kind of makes me sleep better! But good luck and keep writing. We can all use the knowledge of each other to earn a buck or two in the market!

I'm guessing he brings in more than 15% of the business right now so the value is there. I don't follow the guy but he is the bread and butter as far as getting people to the site.

  • Mark Cuban Asks An Interesting Question on Foreign Investments [View article]
    Hey,

If the Brits can have foreign ownership, I think the US can too. That doesn't mean it will happen, just that it can.

Oh, by the way, this has already happened. Chivas USA is owned by Mexican soccer club Chivas. Just a note.

The amazing bailout of the banks will not reach main street and that is ok for some people? Unbelievable.

  • Beware of the Solar Stock Fad [View article]
The difference (and a slight one) is that unlike the other companies mentioned in your article, the solar industry is not only getting both public and private (corporate) funding, it is still growing. I remember reading in Fisher's book Uncommon profits for common stocks that if you can find growing companies that get both levels of funding, stick with it until that changes. He had used HP as an example.
