Even more amazing is that John Chen has not even mentioned the Z30 and has clearly said Qwerty keyboard phones are their future. BBrs should be thanking Thorsten Heins as he developed the Z30.

Creating a Parallel around patents? Huh? What on earth does that mean?

The previous Clown (TH) developed your beloved Z30 and the new genius will be concentrating on Qwerty keyboard phones. He hasnt even mentioned the Z30 in any media publication far less marketing for such. There are a total of 40 reviews on Verizon site which probably accounts for total sales and am I to believe zealotry has nothing to do with the positive spin. Compare your 40 reviews to the 51 million iphones sold last quarter. Iphones sold to repeat customers, with the highest margins and basically minimal upgrades.

Also can you give us a link to Verizon being flabbergasted by these Z30 reviews? While youre at it please give us the total sales to date of the Z30 at Verizon.

Mr. P...your article is brilliant and the ridiculous attack on your small grammatical error is pathetically asinine. I have read every pro BB article here on SA and been rightfully astonished at the poor grammar (hint..GK) and spelling but as long as it was favourable to the beloved BB it was welcomed with glad handing and great big pats on the back. Mr. X's attacks on your "mays" is equally absurd as BBrs constantly trump "mays" with ifs.
If BB can monetize BBM, if they can find a way to make money off of QNX, if people only knew how good BB10 was and on and on. Well Mr. X, if my biceps were 18", they'd be bigger than Arnold's and if I had a billion dollars...I'd be rich.
May I also add that Apple or Microsoft could buy BB with pocket change and yet see no value in the often proclaimed security advantage or in the easy (often proclaimed $18 valuation) doubling of their pocket change. These two behemoths are also blind to the massive enterprise profits going forward that BB has made the focus of their new vision.

Almost. It is completely non existent. It is amazing how, in defence of BB, these articles show us very clearly why BB is finished. Just look at the Red is stunning with a quad core processor, beautiful large screen and guess what? You don't have to side load anything. Just enjoy the millions of apps that'd were designed for the OS. This phone (as it sits) beats out any of BB's offerings incl. the Z30. All for about $100. In addition, why are BB articles always mentioning their competitors strengths (android apps) and how to get them? Where the hell are the blackberry apps? If you want android apps, here's an idea. Buy an Android! Oh wait a minute...that's exactly what everyone IS doing.

  • The Defense Department Did Not Order 80,000 BlackBerry Devices, Big Deal  [View article]
Minimal debt? 1.25 Billion (roughly half of their total) which is what they burned through in one quarter. The quarter before the last one where they lost 4.4 Billion. And the reason all this money was lost? QNX (a proven massive failure) and Qwerty keyboards (truly laughable), two of the main things they will be concentrating on going forward. Of course I cannot leave out the other big future drivers...Enterprise, a space they have been in forever and yet another place they are quickly losing market share and....drumroll please.... the icing on the cake...BBM (texting), something they give away for free on the very phones (operating systems) that have annihilated them. Free BTW for consumers but not for Blackberry as they have to support the App which makes BBM a money loser.

You didn't hear Mr. K?....they will be concentrating on qwerty keyboard phones. That alone qualifies JC and his new team for some serious psychiatric evaluation. Actually, they would have a better chance manufacturing and selling floor wax or dessert topping (with secure caps of course) as people actually buy those things.

More complete insanity from the most incompetent company in the world. Concentrating on keyboard phones? Are you @#$%@ing kidding me? All you Z30 enthusiasts with your daily proclamations of smartphone superiority ought to ask your leader what the he(ll)ck is he doing.

  • The 3 Barriers To BlackBerry's Success  [View article]
May I just add to your (usual) brilliant anyone can talk about BB10 without putting a bag over their head is truly astonishing. It doesnt matter what I or the brilliant Marcap or the absurdly optimistic Freddy says...The numbers dont lie. 1 billion last quarter and over 4 billion this one and even at this, I still say their hiding shit. The channels are so stuffed full of unwanted Z and Q products and they cant even give them away. Like the Playbook before them that could only muster 100k sales (in a quarter) after being slashed to $195 from over $500 and then discontinued, BB10 will follow. Watching BBrs find hope in this last earnings report is truly unbelievable. BBM and QNX are the new saviours? What a joke and regarding Foxconn?...who cares. If they can make and distribute the Z10 for a penny it wouldnt matter. NOBODY wants them! John Chen is brilliant only in that he is getting a huge pay check to occupy a chair. He talks about breaking even in the next two years. What exactly does he think Apple and Samsung will accomplish in that span of time?

  • One Possible Way To Value BlackBerry's Business  [View article]
Hilarious...BB can neither innovate nor market. It's is asinine to suggest marketing failed BB on the release of BB10. They had the entire media to themselves when BB10 debuted. Daily headlines were screaming from all media forms on the release and it was also a time when Apple and Samsung had nothing new to report. Give it up BBrs. The whole world took a good look and resoundly rejected BB10.

  • BlackBerry: Investing With The Insiders  [View article]
Way off George. PW is merely playing both sides. If the company succeeds he looks like the saviour and if it goes down, it is his to dismantle. He can literally cheer for its success but knows the odds for that are extremely long (lottery like in fact) and he will recoup his massive loss when BB is sold in pieces. In a fire sale BB will be worth no more than 1.5 to 2 billion (its true value) but that is enough to cover his great mistake. This God like (and creepy) glorification of PW by BB shareholders is sorrily misplaced as he doesn't care one iota for you guys. Ask yourself one question...why does BB need cash when all I have heard for the last year on these forums is their 3 billion in cash and no debt?
