  • Uni-Pixel Is Still A Good Short Due To PC Industry Woes, And Probably Worth $8 Or Less [View article]
If you believe that touch screen is the money maker, then go with GOOG or AAPL. They use the screens. If the new screens are that much better than the old, then everyone will upgrade instantly. The big caps will win.

Look at CSCO v RKUS or ARUN. Go with the leaders and go to sleep.

  • UniPixel, Atmel And Carclo Aim To Dominate The Touch Sensor Market [View article]
Vague comments and lack of visibility by management keep Motley Food away from UNXL. They have been in business for years, and all they are promises backed by statements cloaked in mystery. Until they declare who the customer is and can show on paper how much their sales are, then I'll put my money elsewhere, such as LL, V, CELG, GILD, AMBA.

  • Uni-Pixel: Still The Best Investment For 2013 [View article]
Change is hard for companies to employ even if the change is for the better. Manufacturing abroad took a long time for many companies to do. But, when they saw the labor cost reduction and tax savings, they finally relented and moved the operations.

NVDA was supposed to create a better chip. Companies did not bite. Superconductor (SCON) had liquid cooled cell phone modules for towers that increased the transmission speed and clarity. Tower makers and cell phone companies did not bite.

HIMX is a glass company with superior products, too. But, who knows? That arena with Google Glasses that you wear seems too specialized and risky to invest in unless you hold for years.

Superior technology does not always win out. Companies with current technology even if inferior will fight hard to keep selling their inventory forever.

UNXL may be better as you point out, but this company may go bankrupt or languish for years until they go bankrupt as so many others have.

Regardless, I bought in today just because I missed the dips. The low market capitalization may not get much lower than today for a while. So, I'm gambling with you. For a company that has no revenue, the price gain has been fantastic. Maybe, there are institutions nibbling at this.

Addressing the SA article shorting this stock was prudent. The short article didn't have much bite, except to provide an entry point, which I saw but didn't take advantage of. I thought about it for too long. Better late than never. I hope.

  • Google Glass/Himax Debate Rages On, Digitimes Report Adds To The Drama [View article]
Going down hard. I use TradeKing.

Your latest attempt pumping is dying. It won't work, again. You need to find a better website that digitimes. Thanks for the money.

  • Google Glass Coming Early - Shares Of Himax Are Poised To Triple [View article]
"reportedly" is the key word. This is a rumor, a lie, pump and dump.

If Gomes would present a fact based on reliable sources, such as the CEO or CFO or COO who showed numbers, then maybe, the pump is real. But, this is a scammer's way of taking your money.

Short this POS. This is dead.

  • Google Glass Coming Early - Shares Of Himax Are Poised To Triple [View article]
If a writer recommends buying a stock on guessing, then the writer must be prohibited from owning or buying that stock because of profit motive either long or short. When the writer pumps a stock because he or she owns it, then it smacks of deception or pump/dump.

Either way, HIMX does not have a moat on glass technology because of mentioned numerous competitors. HIMX has tripled this past year already. Its downside is much greater than its upside.

These glasses are right up there with 3D glasses. No one wants them. It's a fad at best. At worst, you'll lose all your money. People like to hold onto a smart phone. They don't want to talk to command the glasses what to do. No one uses voice command on their phones. People like privacy in public places and even at home.

HIMX goes to $1.47 where it belongs and into bankruptcy.

  • Here Is How BlackBerry Can Dominate The Smartphone And Tablet Markets [View article]
According to Joe Terranova and Sam Weiss on CNBC, a Canadian company will not be owned by a Chinese company. Korea is close to China, so those rumors will not pan out.

  • BlackBerry Blows It With BlackBerry 10 Product Launch [View article]
I am long BBRY. Expectations are so low for BBRY, including the author's, that it can't help but go up just based on any non-bad news is good news which launch this rocket called BBRY.

Security is important for business, and BBRY is the only choice for many organizations.

  • Dead Company Walking: 5 Reasons BlackBerry 10 Marks The End [View article]
When expectations are at the lowest will the stock perform the best. BBRY has good products that business need, such as security, that the other phones do not. The recent sell-off because of the delayed launch is a good buy window for anyone who missed the latest run. NOK with Windows 8 is doing the same thing.

Jon Najarian said that if BBRY was going to be broken, then it would have been at $6 not $15. Pete Najarian thinks that BBRY is going up very high. Of course, his timing was early.

The bad news are known as you had mentioned. This news is what makes BBRY now a compelling bargain.

DF did the same thing. David Toepper recognized it and doubled his money.

I am looking forward to testing out the Z10. I'd like to switch to one smart phone just to have a mobile computer for gps and easier texting. I have 4 basic phones.

Your thesis is predicated mainly on the delayed launch. That's not compelling enough to make the fundamentals deteriorate. The company hasn't changed. iPhone5 had Google map problems because it was launched too early. Waiting sometimes can pay dividends.

The dominance fact can always change as it did for BBRY just a few years ago. The pendulum may be swinging back. There seems to be a high interest in finding an alternative to Android and iOS.

YouTube has a video of a side by side speed test between iPhone5 and Z10. BBRY outsped Apple.

Low expectations from a good buy-out candidate, such as BBRY, makes for a compelling buy. DELL is going through a similar price jump just for that one possibility. BBRY has two products and a new operating system that has shown be stable and fastest according to Steve Weiss on CNBC.

Time will tell. I'm long BBRY 1,750 shares at $14.38.
