    This is true. In the early 80's I drilled a shale well in my front yard, received a tax credit and became energy independent. I also hit an artesian water source on the way down and obtained an unlimited supply of clean pressurized water.
    Nat Gas is our best, immediate and sustainable resource for energy independence with nuclear supplementation.

    declining private interest in wind reflects its inability to compete with Nat Gas on equal footing. Where are the environmentalists now that were protesting wind in the 70's in central NY because of geese getting sliced and diced?

    Swimming performances in China were "off the wall" - pun.
    In addition to FURTHER advances in body suits, there may be other variables(as in the financials). 1. The Cube was much deeper than other pools - less back wash and surface turbulence. The "hardness" of the water was optimized as well as the temperature and lighting. Research in land and water training have advanced. Modification in stroke techniques to individual swimmers body morphology and tapering are also better.
    40 yrs ago we looked at the same records and said "they can't get any faster". If you would have said the same of the markets then inflation would have eaten up your CD.
