And if you have that many accounts made up of that many positions, you may be just scuffling the cards mostly and not much playing.

Is this like a wannabe article for multi-millionaires? If you have a million dollars, you are lucky. Plenty of older Americans don't have a million pennies. This business of living well and never having to sell anything is a perfect example. If you have food, clothing, and shelter plus a comfortable chair, a comfortable bed, and heating and air conditioning, you are in one sense, as comfortable as the richest guy in town. As several comments have pointed out, you may want to live 'high' for obscure reasons.

Remember the old sayings, 'there's nothing sure but death and taxes' and 'money won't make you happy'.

Actually robertlish, I thought there were other comments about technical analysis and copper plumbing. Not exactly off-topic. There are guys you've heard of that like to give the needle to technical analyst. Same for gold bugs.

Lots of good practical info here........."Technicals are ugly" Burton Malkiel said technical analysis is akin to astrology. He also said fundamental analysis does work, but you can't act on it fast enough to profit. (several million investors around the world know it at the same time you do and some know it SOONER)

Copper used in underground plumbing is very prone to electrolysis. With a concrete foundation, you may have to dig up half the house to find and fix a leak.

On remarks about the VA and their recent publicity. I think I've been hearing for 50 years that most veterans would prefer to go to (better sources) if they can afford it.

Few doctors will opt out of medicare. However, as was pointed out to me, if your fine doctor is plenty busy with non-medicare jobs, he won't be as interested in a medicare job that pays a lot less. Procedures and surgeries may already be somewhat rationed indirectly.

Blaming Rich and Bob for divergent political talk. Looks to me like they are outnumbered.

Why would you include the decline in gold as worrisome? We think giving gold a seat at the table is antique, anachronistic, and archaic.

I like your thinking. The big picture.

Ebola is very serious. Yet, it has Y2K written all over it. Blue Okie just said it. It does not belong to the category of political talk.
