  • What An Iran Nuclear Deal Means For Oil Prices And The Stock Market [View article]
I am only 80 years old but I can not remember when there was not a war or preparations for a war going on. It must be the natural forces that create war.

Is it possible that XOM has captured the political people in charge of exports? Doubtfully there is no connection between XOM and congress. My money would be on the results favoring XOM, not in the short term but as long as energy is required to make money. which seems to be forever. It really doesn't require a long dissertation or a Phd to figure this out. Pick a energy producer that can sustain long term political influence and you have a winner.

  • Exxon's Tillerson on M&A: "No limitation on what we might be interested in" [View news story]
I am not so sure that gasoline and oil will be the fuels of the future. Nuclear is still getting the attention of several countries that are dependent on Oil production for the near term. All electric automobiles are also getting much more attention than in the past and fuel cells are replacing batteries as a storage medium. EOM is a giant monster in a outdated field. Oil companies come and go almost as often as Automobile companies of the 1930s. Young people have a different view of the future than the old people that rely on dividends to supplement their SS income. Most of the younger set I have conferred with are more interested in explosive capital appreciation than dividends. I just don't see much of a future for ExxonMobil in their present paradigm.

Solar is a joke. The sun just doesn't shine enough to produce electricity in significant amount. We all don't live in Arizona or Nevada.

I have a very limited time frame and there is no crime involved in taking a profit. I have to simplify my holdings in order for a much younger person to understand. That particular younger person is a physicist. Passing coin is a very simple process.
