  • 5 Stocks to Buy if Obama Wins [View article]
Obama has an abysmal voting record for renewables. Witness his "missing votes" for the current problem with the Fed tax credits. Shameful.

Moreover, you do realize he has taken more money from the nuclear energy industry than nay other politician -- ever, and Illinois has more nuclear power plants than any other US State. I think you listed GE for the wrong reasons...

@ Jake. You are the one saying I can't explain this phenomena. I'm saying I won't explain it to you.

It isn't my job/plan/duty to lay every thing out for you. I'm just giving a tip and a wink, and if that is not up to your rigorous due diligence maxima -- then ignore it.

One other thing to help you. Consider CFD (computational fluid dynamics) and climatological modeling.

I would short anything/everything wind energy because it is facing an unforeseen headwind (pun intended). Highly regarded academics will reveal some very disturbing research findings in the near future. Let me put it to you like this. Every environmental organization will come after wind with a vengeance and it won't have anything to do with birds hitting the blades...

  • Smart Metering: A Smart Play in Energy Efficiency  [View article]
Am I the only one that thinks this could be a set-up. First you get all this great information on usage and time of day pricing. So does the power company. Now they drill down through the data and start coming up with all kinds of new pricing tiers according to the new data and technology.

Yea I'm not so sure how this will play ultimately. If there is widespread adoption and people start to manage their usage (and bill) well....then it's not much of a stretch to think the utility will have to make up the lost revenue somewhere.

This could catch people out. Like retirees that must run their air-con or heating at 2PM when most people are at the office.
