  • Tesla: Enough Superchargers To Power Tesla's Model X [View article]
That sounds like a teenagers logic.

  • Tesla Earnings Provide Both Short And Long-Term Trades [View article]
    Two points:

    1. It's a $5 billion factory that is negotiating with state governments. It's not going to happen soon. Let the thought go that silence is indicative of an issue. It's not.

    2. Knowledge to build a battery factory? He's built a car factory and a rocket factory.

How people draw conclusions is so painful sometimes...

  • Tesla: Don't Say You Never Had A Dip To Buy On [View article]
It's not that interesting, that would be revealing inside information.

    Is that not obvious?

  • Why A Profitable $35,000 Tesla Model E Is A Pipe Dream [View article]
Sounds similar to what people were saying about the Model S.

I give the benefit of the doubt to Tesla (amazing execution thus far) versus some guy writing an article (albeit with what seems to be reasonable math/logic).

  • Tesla Motors higher on Apple enthusiasm [View news story]
If this is anything, it's around a partnership for the GIGAFACTORY. I don't follow apple but i hear that they commonly front capital for capital intensive projects. Seems like a reasonable fit. But who knows, gotta ride sentiment up and down.

Btw, nobody that knows anything thinks Apple is going to buy Tesla.

  • Evidence Of Peaked Model S U.S. Deliveries Continues To Pile Up [View article]
As a stated bull, I actually agree this is silly. The car won't depreciate like a normal car, less parts (factual!).

But the used ones are prob Sig or P85s...compared to a new 60.

  • Evidence Of Peaked Model S U.S. Deliveries Continues To Pile Up [View article]
Actually, contrary to "buy the car, not the stock" that would seem to imply "buy the stock AND the car". Unless maybe, all of sudden, Tesla starts trading on known fundamentals. But doesn't that seem kinda silly? Are all these super zealous Tesla owners/fans going to start trading on fundamentals? My guess is not...regardless of how you value a company, one must take into account how others will value a company.

And I hear you about the silliness around "drive the car then you'll get it." But that's not what I was referring to with my demand in quotes. It's that when I drive the car, every corner somebody looks and points. It's weird. I fly off the line just to reinforce how awesome the car is. Friends are buying the car, my girlfriend is reserving a Model X, kids want rides, teenagers think I'm cool again...this is DEMAND...the number you are referring is to a derivative of this difficult to quantify 'demand'.

    Confirmation bias.

Drive one of the cars for a few days, then you'll start to understand what 'demand' is.

  • Tesla Set To Take Down $200 [View article]
As the bullest of the bulls and owner of an Model S, I agree that this is a ridiculous comparison. It's not apples-apples, so kinda stupid. Car should hold up its value well tho.

  • Tesla's story in China begins [View news story]
After having owned the car for 3 days, my guess is that they do well in China.

In fact, and I really really don't mean to stereotype or generalize, but most of the attention I'm getting is from young asian guys in BMWs.
